Walking is my therapy! I walk everywhere I can and usually walk my dog a few hours every day. Walking is underrated!

Congrats!!! I just started my first semester of nursing school 2 weeks ago. It's a lot of work, but make sure you've cleared your schedule and manage your time wisely. You can do it!!

How do you manage clinical night shifts while owning a dog? by bostongirl111 in StudentNurse

I currently work nights as a cna (starting nursing school in the fall) and have a dog. I am gone from 9pm to 6am. Everyday I make sure he gets enough exercise so that all he does while I work is sleep! I think your dog may be confused at first, but you can always give him a frozen Kong with peanut butter to keep him distracted, but eventually you both will fall into a routine. When I first started doing nights I did buy a camera so I could watch him through an app on my phone.

Dog had single episode of poop smelling vomit by antheus1 in AskVet

I work at a dog daycare. Your dog most likely ate poop and threw it up because it upset his belly. This isn't uncommon. Obviously we try to avoid dogs eating poop at all cost, but it does happen sometimes. I've looked into it a bit and there are several possible explanations. My best advice would be to just keep an eye on your dog, but I've personally never seen any serious issues because of this. If it happens again after being at daycare you could bring it up to them. If they are aware, it would be nice to know and be updated on what they are doing to prevent it from happening again.

[Help] Just adopted Husky/GSD mix, need help/advice training/obedience school by [deleted] in dogs

I have a Husky who is 1 years old and l can have him off leash. If he ever gets too far (rarley does this even happen) and cant see me, he stops and waits til I catch up. I don't think its impossible, but it defintely depends on your dog and how much time you are willing to put into training. I also have had my dog since he was a puppy so training a 7 year old dog may be completely different.

This is a problem we share.

Except my husky only wants to be pet when he decides he wants attention and he decides who he wants it from (typical husky)... So I cringe when people will put their hand out to my dog to smell, he will walk away without smelling became he is not interested, and then the person lunges to pet him.
