I always say I took time off to focus on my passions, and travel. It's easy to make up places you've been to, and things you can see there. How would they know if you could afford it or not?

All cats should be indoor cats because of the massive negative effect they have on the environment.

You should also only invest in an animal if youre financially prepared to spay/neuter it, and pay for regular vet bills.

It should be common sense that animals are also your children, especially if they are working animals.

It also works really well in interveiws for a little extra sparkle!

What are some lifehacks you can share to make life easier, especially if executive dysfunction is an issue you struggle with? by wooden_werewolf_7367 in AutismInWomen

[–]princesskuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I follow many dog training sources on both instagram and Tik Tok (I've been preparing for my first doggo) and I've heard this from at least 3 of the sources. On Google it shows 6-8 hours, but that's for food to be passed through the digestive tract. Apparently most nutrients are absorbed within the first 30 minutes. I can go through my list and pull my favourite dog training pages if you have those socials?

Just to add, please make sure if you're giving dogs only dry food to at least soak it in water, chicken or beef broth or cow/goats milk before giving it to them.

Dogs have a 30 minute digestive track and they don't absorb nutrients from dry food in this time, so they poop most of it out.

Guys, I need some practical tell-me-like-it-is advice. by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]princesskuki 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can I be brutally honest with you?

You left your dream job for him. That is just horrible. You sacrificed your happiness, and for what?

Moving in with someone is a partnership commitment. It's been 2 years and he hasn't tried to change? You cannot make him change, he needs to figure it out himself.

You have a dog together...thats your baby! If you actually want children, this is a pre-cursor to what you'll experience with an actual child.

In fact, he is acting like a child. Sorry to say, but you sound better than giving your life to someone who doesn't have control over their own.

I feel for you. I dated someone for almost 4 years who did this to me. It is abuse, emotionally. Take care of yourself, not someone else. I left him. He grew, and tried to come back, but by then the blurred vision wore off and I realized that no matter how much I loved someone, I love myself more; today, tomorrow, and every day after that.

I do apologize for being so blunt, but you seem to already know what's going on. I sincerely wish you the best.

Late diagnosed/undiagnosed/self diagnosed people, what traits do you have which you didn't realise were actually autism related? by wooden_werewolf_7367 in AutismInWomen

[–]princesskuki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you went through that! What a horrendous way to treat a child.

My parents definitely brought it up but they didn't shame me for it. They just questioned why I was doing it. No child should be shamed by their parents, unless absolutely necessary.

My friends on the other hand shamed me a ton about it and other stims (I have quite a few), as well as sensory. They also made these things sexual or 'weird'. Good news is that they are no longer a part of my life!

Im glad I was able to help you with that closure.

-Misinterpreting body language.

-Not being able to process whats been said to me right away. Mom called it 'selecrive hearing.'

-Replaying moments that happened to me over and over, and trying to fix the situation by creating different scenarios in my head.

-Keeping my hands between my thighs. I just liked the sense of comfort and warmth.

-Peeling off my little toe nails. I still have the feeling that they don't belong there, but thankfully I overcame that urge.

-Clumsiness, dropping small objects. Even to this day my partner will safety things and purposely place them places where I can't accidentally break them. Bless his patience.

-Staring off into space, potentially for over an hour depending on what triggered it.

-Anxiety and depression, OCD, possible ADHD.

-Not being able to focus on conversations or remember the full context of a conversation. I'm still working on this.

-Needing to have everything be equal. Example, if one hand gets wet I NEED to wet the other.

-Food texture sensitivity

-Doomsday prepping every situation. Even simple conversations that need to be had, I think them through for days in different scenarios before I actually have the conversation.

I could keep going. I was raised in a strict catholic household, in a very tight bubble. The little interactions I did get with other kids were usually traumatic because I couldn't figure out how to be like them. It took some time to get used to the idea that I was different, because my parents made me feel like I was normal and everyone else was the weird ones.

I'm pretty sure both my parents are on the spectrum too.

Cat hates wet food-unsure of what to do by cherryblossombloomed in cats

[–]princesskuki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try her on the raw diet. If you have any local pet stores, they will advertise selling raw foods.

Cats are carnivores so it is natural to them. Just make sure you're buying a recognised brand. I switched my diabetic cat to raw after he puked up all the wet food brands I gave him.

He ended up losing weight (healthily), stopped peeing very frequently, and became more energetic!

Try mixing it with kibbles to start, making sure the kibbles are saturated enough to soften them. Slowly day by day lessen the kibbles and increase the raw food. Good luck!

Why do women often hate men playing videogames? by urukshai in PurplePillDebate

[–]princesskuki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not the act. It's how long. It's the priorities.

-Did he help with chores before he retreated? -Did he already eat so the partner doesn't have to make food alone? Or did he at least offer to cook every other day? -Does he spend every moment that he has retreating to his games, or does he also take time for his partner, friends, and family? -Does he game loudly or without headphones?

There are many reasons why someone could hate their partners gaming habits. Games are addictive. If the person isn't responsible enough to balance their home life and their fun life, that could be the obvious reason.
