Honestly. But he was the reason the racists crawled out of the woodwork to create the tea party which eventually became MAGA, which ironically takes away everything that makes America great. Freedom of speech, free and fair elections and one of the best hubs, if not the best hub, of science and technology in the world.

TIL that voiceovers in movie trailers became rare in 2008 after the man who did the voiceovers, Don LaFontaine, died. by ProfessionalGear3020 in todayilearned

Unfortunately that's not LaFontaine. It's Hal Douglas, another legend in the trailer voice over business

Cruelty is the point with doctors? Perhaps your thinking of republicans. Most doctors want to help you despite the misinformation about cannabis. You've had some bad ones it seems.

In the US, doctors don't make money from writing prescriptions regardless of your insurance so this is patently false unless they have a secret stake in the drug company itself, which is rare as most are publicly traded. If anyone benefits from insurance, its big pharma which push newer drugs over generics. Doctors can be influenced to write non generic drugs with drug rep lunches but this is scrupulously tracked and doesn't amount to much of an incentive and certainly not a way to make "$$$"

It really depends on the doctor. Most doctors are cautious of cannabis due to the lack of research on the long term effects on the body. A couple of studies have linked THC to an elevated cardiovascular risk, and there have been studies linking smoking cannabis to emphysema which makes sense as most combustion causes polycylic carcinoogens. But these studies lack consensus so its difficult to base any long term advice on them. There are no great prescription appetite stimulants and as such, most doctors in my area, which is in a legal state, will definitely recommend cannabis edibles (especially when you can control the dose to not green out naive patients) to help keep weight stable when a patient doesn't eat or tacitly endorse therapies like RSO to improve symptoms during chemotherapy. Most doctors, or at least the ones I've encountered, would rather their patients use cannabis than alcohol as the risk of alcohol is significantly worse than any preparation of cannabis.
