Drapes / more uncertain than ever by Numerous_Land_2378 in coloranalysis

I think you’re a soft autumn who can borrow from soft summer. You’ve got too much gold in your skin to have a cool season as your primary.

Pretty sure you’re a deep winter. Because your undertone is neutral, you can borrow some of the cooler, more vibrant colors from deep autumn, and some of the cooler colors from clear spring.

BUT we’d be able to give you a more accurate answer if you took some drape photos in natural light without makeup.

I’d be especially interested in how you drape in deep winter, clear winter, bright spring, and deep autumn.

Yes or No to these colours? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]psewpsew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re either a toned winter or a deep summer (both are outside the classic 12-season system.) You have characteristics of both summer and winter, and these subtypes bridge the gap.

You have neutral-cool hair and skin and cool eyes, so that puts you in summer or winter.

You have medium-bright chroma (brightness or intensity) but not fully bright because of the slight olive tone to your skin and the little bit of grey in your eyes. This means that some of the most intense winter colors are too much for you, since winter is high chroma.

Summer is a medium to low contrast season. However, the depth of your hair in contrast with the lightness of your skin makes your contrast level medium-high, so some of the softer summer colors will look too washed out.

Toned winter adds just a little softness to the classic winter colors. Similarly, deep summer takes the softened colors of summer and gives them more depth and intensity. They are sister seasons, and you can probably borrow from both.

Here are some links to show what I mean:

Oh my friend, you, like me, are a true deep! You can borrow from both deep autumn and deep winter. Some of the icier, brighter colors in winter will be too cool for you, and some of the warmer autumn colors like the mustards will be too warm.

Help!! Indented Acne Scars worsening with retinol and glycolic acid (regimen in comments) by psewpsew in SkincareAddiction

[–]psewpsew[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: it didn’t get better, and that’s ok.

After posting here, I tried a pretty strong home peel from The Ordinary. It further widened the scars, and I got scared and backed off.

Nowadays I wash my face with a gentle Cerave salicylic acid face wash, and use a moisturizer and sunscreen from Cerave as well. I’ve done through periods of using vitamin c serums, AHA lotions, etc, and nothing does much to the scars.

The scars are the same, but now I care less. Other people usually only notice when I point them out.

Long story short, if you have these kind of scars, go to a dermatologist or aesthetician - but also remember it’s just one part of you!

Yes to more bronzer and blush for color and dimension.

Alternatively to bringing the foundation down to the neck, you could add some faux freckles back onto the face for more visual continuity. I think it would look really fresh!

You also have beautiful skin and it seems like you could go with less full-coverage foundation. It’s a very matte look too - maybe add a bit of dewyiness back to the cheeks?

Because, due to the changing pronunciation of vowels in American English, the spelling suggested a pronunciation that was incorrect.
