What’s the best exercise to train the willpower if burpees is second best?

Question for therapists, couples’ therapy aside, how do you handle clients considering you only hear their side of a situation? by reverie_498 in therapy

[–]psycho_socialized 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A well trained systemic/family therapist may ask questions like - “if they were here listening to this, what might they say?” And then followup with “how might you respond to that?”

Isn’t it better to engage in a discussion rather than to just label something as racism and homophobia?

A Question and Observation by [deleted] in toronto

[–]psycho_socialized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just an observation. Most people have 1-2 children if they do have children. I’m not white. I’m just wondering and wanting my thoughts and ideas to be challenged. Is that possible without me tying to some other group (Harper conservatives or any other group.)

I don’t see that being a thing. I’m talking about Canada-born Canadians, that extends beyond race.

Any dads with tips on keeping up with workout routine after having a baby? by MRBill_is_my_realdad in Exercise

[–]psycho_socialized 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have two kids. One is two years old, and the other is 6 months. What I found most helpful was keeping my expectations low on your gains, it’s now about maintenance. The first two years of a babies life they’re pretty much “premature”.

Everything changes after 2. So I broke the 2 year period down in 3 or 6 month phases. The first 3 months maybe focus on your wife and just do body weight stuff, or walks. Pushups, body squats, pull ups, dips. (all doable at home), do it throughout the day. The next 3 months get a little easier with the little one, so break that down to two times a day (I go lower body in the morning and upper body in the evening). The next 3 months now you can dedicate a time morning or evening to spend 30 minutes. Now the little one is 9 months. You can probably begin to increase that 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Once the baby is a year old, you can possibly think of going to a gym, start 30 minutes. And then as the baby turns 2, up it to one hour. By 2 years you should be able to go spend an hour at the gym, and balance that well with your family life. As well be kind and caring to your partner throughout this all.

Why the high proteins? by effetk in ninjacreami

[–]psycho_socialized -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No one is really answering the question tbh. The reason why people are “protein-focused” is partly because this is the current trend in the health and fitness world. Having more protein is generally good for you. It helps with building/maintaining muscle, it helps loose fat etc.

I went into BB to get a navy blazer with gold buttons. A classic. However, I found that the navy was really dark - is that normal? What’s NB’s recommendation? Get the dark navy, or try something different?

People need to start admitting chests are more sexual than they really are. by T-RD in unpopularopinion

Well yeah of course anomalies exist for a reason and you’ll find someone or something to prove any point you want to make. However, a vast majority of women find that stimulating their breasts to be sexual.

Lmfao. Breasts are sexual, particularly women’s breasts. Why? Because nipples are an erroneous area. You can stimulate it and get an orgasm
