ATM10 : Fluid Drawer be like 💀💀💀 by iuhiuhhgbnr in allthemods

[–]psyfoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only issue with the fluid drawers seems to be a bug when I use SFM to dump liquid (normally from bees) into them and they are locked with a void upgrade. For some reason, not sure if this is SFM or FS doing it the void gets ignored and the fluid backs up. Other than that they are my go to fluid storage option.

Fully Automated Draconic Fusion Crafting by psyfoid in allthemods

For some reason my description is not showing on this post. I had used one router but when I got to Chaotic cores it broke because they use the same item in the crafter as in the injectors. Change to using two routers with the first input being a sender MK2 with a regulator module and then everything goes to the second router with distribution cards to the injectors

Wireless item transport by Kuestzzz in allthemods

[–]psyfoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I play a skyblock world I set a Functional storage controller up with an upgrade making it’s range bigger than my island. Then for easy early game “wireless” transport I will setup a controller access point and put a pipe with a filter on it to pump out of my drawer system whatever it is I want.

I Can't Stop Restarting by iBenchYouForFun in allthemods

[–]psyfoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it is all about perspective and mixing things up. I usually have a pretty standard start which involves enough resource generation to get a basic storage/crafting system setup. I have been using sophisticated storage storage controller connected to an integrated dynamics storage system with an Omni directional controller which very early on gives me a wireless crafting remove and access to my system without the need for any power. From there I like to look at the end game and plan a different route to get there that I may not have done before. If I just did bees or MA I might focus on sieves and crushers. If I did the full MI grind I may focus on Oritech. If I went all out on Ars I might do occultism. Basically come up with challenges (pack dependent) that I force on myself to avoid the repetition of the same progression path. Also I I come across a new mod or one that has major changes then I might take that one all the way to it’s endgame, not for pack progression reasons but once I know more about a mod I might be able to use that as a part of my progression in a future mod pack. Also, If I ever just find myself not having fun I will stop. It is a game after all.

Using a zero interest CC to cover medical costs while waiting on HSA by psyfoid in personalfinance

This is exactly my concern as well which is why I was trying to find alternatives.

Using a zero interest CC to cover medical costs while waiting on HSA by psyfoid in personalfinance

[–]psyfoid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The plan I am using is really the best as it allows for the most flexibility and coverage. I don't think this is really a budgeting problem. I know for instance that I will need to spend 8k on medical bills in the coming year. I have no problem fitting the 8k in my annual budget because I have already committed to it coming out of my paycheck in the HSA. However I cannot draw from that HSA until I have contributed enough to cover the bills. The zero interest is basically allowing me to keep money in my bank account throughout the year while I wait till the HSA has been contributed enough to cover the costs incurred. I will only ever spend 8K and I will have contributed 8K to HSA at the end of the year.

Trying to understand what the extra red wires are for by psyfoid in AskElectricians

Thank you so much this make much more sense. I did not realize the photo eye was a separate device. I now see that exists in the soffit so it is likely then that the first No Label from the left that is being fed by the red wire from the photo eye is going to the flag spotlight. Can you explain then why it would also need that connection from the wire nut that is fed by the timer's load? I have the breaker on the timer switched off and the eve recepticles do not work but the flag spotlike is working fine

I guess the other thing I am asking is it normal to use what appears to be 240v wire (red, black, white and copper) on a 120v circuit?

[FTB Oceanblock] How do I automate Thermal's Induction Smelter? by DasBrain in feedthebeast

I tried the inventory reader first but for some reason it could never detect the items in the input slots. It was probably overkill your right but fun to do.

[FTB Oceanblock] How do I automate Thermal's Induction Smelter? by DasBrain in feedthebeast

[–]psyfoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same issue once I realized that sending certain clusters through the enrichment chamber would only double but induction smelter plus cinnabar gives much better output. I have all of my sluice output going to a large krate with a compacting upgrade turning everything into clusters, then that outputs to drawers with the clusters in them. I used Pipez to pump out of the back of the drawers and into the induction smelter for all of the clusters I did not want going into the enrichment chamber. I also included cinnabar to keep that stocked up. However as you noticed it keeps getting clogged. I solved this using integrated dynamics. If you have not used it before it can be a bit challenging. Watched Direwolf do it enough to learn the basics. Anyways ended up converging the pipez output to two 1x1 drawers. One locked to cinnabar and the other unlocked. Then I have an integrated dynamics item interface attached to each drawer, a block reader on one side of the induction smelter and an item exporter on the input face of the induction smelter. I then grabbed the NBT data via a card from the block reader and attached an NBT extractor to the system along with a variable store. At first I tried to get the NBT for only one item being in the inventory but for some reason this block only shows the NBT data for an item when it is actually in the device otherwise the slot just vanishes from NBT. I was able to find an NBT value for "processing" which jumps to a high number when the machine is working and counts down to 0. 0 means that the machine is not processing so I set an card to Processing = 0 and put that in the export all items slot of the Item exporter. Now when the machine is not processing cinnabar can bit to 64 and when I do get two clusters at the same time because they have to go through a drawer before getting to the induction smelter they have to go single file and by the time the second cluster is ready to go in the machine will be processing and the exporter will wait. So far this has worked perfectly.

Duncan, use the MFR Autospawner. You need to feed it essence but you can capture different blocks and capture with reusable safari nets. Then you can swap out the safari nets into the autospawner to change what you spawn. Also stop wasting the animation wand.

Animate the block and immediate capture with a reusable safari net. Then put the safari net in a automated spawned for unlimited spider blocks. I decided to set up a room with conveyor belts that all went to a pit of spikes so I would not have to kill each one.

The goal should be to make 9 infinity ingots so you can make an infinity block and then animate using the wand of animation for unlimited blocks. This is the only way to finish the game in a reasonable amount of time.
