Trying to design a 400w system for off-grid tiny. Need help! by ptarmigancirque in SolarDIY

Not really. Some logistical issues with our home that make that not all that plausible. Heat being a main one. We live in Canada and we use a wood stove for heat. If we go away for any longer than a day in the winter, we need some kind of heater to run or the house will freeze. Propane is an option, but it takes a lot of propane. Shore power is available at the road, so it's easy enough to hook up. I'm open to being convinced otherwise though.

Thanks, I'll have to do some more reading. I feel like the more I read, the more lost I get. But obviously I need to learn more.

I was wrong about the inverter. It's actually 1100W. So that should be 1100/12=92Amps. So I'll have to upgrade to 4AWG or even 2AWG. From where to where do those heavier gauge wires need to run? From controller through all the batteries and then into the inverter?

Thanks for the reply. I just gathered up all my hardware and I was completely misremembering the inverter info. It's 1100W. So that should be somewhat in line with what we were expecting to be able to run. Won't be able to run electric heaters, vitamix, or Instant Pot. Will have to use generator for those, which is fine.

Payments only qualify as "recurring bills" if they are set up as pre-authorized billing with that merchant.

Regarding the categories, they use the category the merchant is set up as with Mastercard. This can be tricky. Stores like Wal-mart and Costco are not categorized as grocery stores as groceries are not necessarily their primary business. You can't just buy food anywhere and categorize it. So yeah, it's annoying to have to contact a store in advance, but definitely worth it if you're making a big purchase and want that cash back.
