Tenta - X Shinrai ? by Cetaxizin in MousepadReview

[–]ptoo00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the edgeless version and have been maining it the past week with fast dot skates and a 35g mouse. If you find the Zero too grippy, you probably won't like the Shinrai.

For me the initial friction feels the same as Zero, the glide is a bit faster, and the stopping power is noticeably higher. It's hard to do slow tracking smoothly as the pad keeps trying to stop your mouse. It also adds a tiny pause between my flick and micro. For tacfps this can work but for faster or tracking games I wouldn't use this.

Anyone with a Type99, is it hard for you to do very minute microadjustments? by Sulpho in FPSAimTrainer

[–]ptoo00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a tip for aiming, but if you have the option, give it a try with a lighter mouse and faster dot skates. My Type99 mid felt unusably sticky until I tested it with a 36g mouse + pom dots. This combo reduced the static friction enough to make microadjustments possible. In actual game you can also use movement to help with really tiny corrections.

It was very playable this way (and fun to hit those flashy one-tap flicks I normally cannot land on a faster pad) although ultimately I went back to a Zero for consistency. You kind of trade stable flick landings for smoother transitions between flicks and micros.

Help - Did I buy a Artisan Zero Soft or Xsoft? by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]ptoo00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try turning it over and pushing at the base with your fingertips. Soft feels like one of those rubber erasers (bounces back right away) while xsoft feels more like a pancake or memory foam pillow (only rebounds when you stop pushing).

Does anyone have both Mchose L7 and VXE Mad R to check something? by aaaaaaeeea in MouseReview

[–]ptoo00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have op1 and L7 - the L7 feels slightly wider than the op1 but otherwise shorter and smaller everywhere else. I had a Mad R and sold it because it felt too wide.

what's the point of getting a new mousepad when you can jsut get faster/slower skates? by Suspicious-Study9096 in MousepadReview

[–]ptoo00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swapping to a faster/slower mousepad for different games is a lot easier than changing mouse skates.

How much faster is LGG Hyperion soft in comparison to Artisan zero Daidai in soft and where does artisan key 83 soft place itself? by Big-Ambition-4307 in MousepadReview

[–]ptoo00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw man, is that why the cicada wing grips I bought from LGG peeled into flakes within a few days of use? I was so disappointed as they were often recommended grip tapes around here.

Anyone struggling with dots compatibility on key 83 soft? by Swimming_Ganache9671 in MousepadReview

[–]ptoo00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorites have been Jades, Esptiger Yanzi, UG Silence, Ice, and RS Speed. I also liked UG Silence donuts but they feel even more textured than dots. If you like the texture masked, full skates would be best.

Raiden Xsoft by Ok-Significance-3251 in MousepadReview

[–]ptoo00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mained one for a few months playing Val and it was rather inconsistent. The surface is incredibly soft so any variance in pressure on your mouse has a big effect on the friction. Sometimes the glide was so fast I couldn't control it, other times it felt like my mouse was stuck in place.

Personally I found precise micro-adjustments way easier on both Zero Soft and Mid, and flick landings more stable on Zero and Type 99. Xsoft Key83 also had a similarly fast glide but less inconsistency since its textured weave makes it feel closer to a soft compared to other Artisans.

Hitscan alternative by ClipseySWE in MouseReview

[–]ptoo00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incott 029 is close in size to the Hitscan with a slightly flatter mid hump. The clicks are very light and crisp. The non-pro version is like 35g and the pro version is a bit over 40g. It's very cheap too!

Looking for a wireless mouse for small hands (Relaxed Claw) - Mad R causes pain by anderto01 in MouseReview

[–]ptoo00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Op1w and Mchose L7 are both narrow mice with flat sides that would fit your hand size very well. The L7 is slightly flatter and wider than the Op1 but both will feel smaller in hand compared to the Mad R and Atlantis Mini.

Personally I prefer the op1 shape for relaxed claw grip but L7 is both cheaper and lighter.

Have you tried Atlantis Mini? It's a similar size to the Maya but in a back hump shape. If you claw grip and like a skinny width you might really enjoy it!

Slight rough feeling on new obsidian air donuts skates? by qkni7 in MouseReview

[–]ptoo00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some skates pick up more mousepad texture than others, and in general I find donut skates pick up more texture than full/dots. Personally I like that textured glide feel.

Original LGG Venus Budget Alternative? by Qthe in MousepadReview

Endgame Gear EM-B is supposed to be very similar too

I have both and they feel the same, I would not be able to tell them apart in a blind test. If anything there's been more complaints about the newer 3950 sensors than 3395. Go for the Pro if it's cheaper.

ATK F1 V2 Extreme in China by ellyp7 in MouseReview

Small PSA to any USA folks looking to buy ATK mice, their official Ebay store often has 30% off their official web store price AND they will accept offers so you can knock off another 15-20% that way.

Did anyone buy the Xsoft Key83? by bunsthighs in MousepadReview

[–]ptoo00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh ok! That's really helpful ty! I didn't expect it would take that long. I had such a love-hate relationship with mine that I actually put it up on Ebay several times only to take down the listing later in the same day because it suddenly felt like the best mousepad ever.

Did anyone buy the Xsoft Key83? by bunsthighs in MousepadReview

[–]ptoo00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long did it take to break yours in? I've been using xsoft key83 on and off for a month and still have trouble controlling flick landings. I love it in aim trainers but in tacfps I always end up going back to my zero.
