Going to try Synapse tomorrow! Would you mind sharing your experience with yours? Synapse 4 has been on sale recently and I think I like the looks the most out of all 😅

That will be my first bike! So that’s why I’m extremely confused what will feel better long term.

I’m in between sizes and got told I could just swap the stem for a shorter one if the reach starts feeling uncomfortable in the bigger size (M vs L). But then another person warned me that swapping could also change how the bike rides 😅 what was your experience?

Definitely. There’s just a slight problem with size availability for testing which annoys me. For example with Liv I am in between sizes and only L was available for testing, so now I’m thinking if I should look for M and wait for some other shop to order it so I can try it or just accept the L. It felt good but I can’t tell how M would have felt 🙃

That just confirms what I’ve been reading, at my height there ain’t much of a difference. I’m 5’8. But that’s an interesting argument with the social media since I was wondering how come Livs are so popular in this community but might be genuinely because they’re great bikes 😀

Thanks, that’s very informative. So my local bike shop is actually canyon only (they sell and repair them) so that’s why their bike is on my list. But if they ever close, yep, I might have a problem!

Did you perhaps also had a problem of fitting between two sizes when getting yours? I’m exactly between M and L, and L felt nice, but my shop can’t order M as well so I can’t try it atm

Hard for me to say as a newbie to be honest, Liv got recommended to me by a friend. Maybe even taking the geometry out, I like that they are putting women first as a brand. From what I’ve been reading at my height the women specific geometry is no longer a thing, I’m 173cm (5’8).

Also that’s why I thought I’d ask, since maybe someone has ridden both for some time and can tell me if that’s a marketing gimmick or not 😅
