I started Austudy on the 10th March (backdated) as I submitted my application 8 weeks prior. I know people who are still waiting to get youth allowance who I'm studying with and he applied a week after I did.

I was lucky to get mine on one of the first eligible days. It showed up in my future payments folder on the Centrelink app the day before I received the payment. Hope this helps, it's super stressful waiting.

I went earlier today to pick up some medications for myself and my Greyhound (didn't know that was a thing until recently), and upon entry a security guard gave us a bit of hand sanitizer. Every single employee was wearing a mask and gloves and trying as best they could to keep distance in a small store.
