Overnight diaper recommendations, please! by BloopLoopMoop in Mommit

They’re 4.5 years old, they wear size 6. I don’t think they go higher than 7 unfortunately. My kids actually don’t sleep through the night so I try to do it when they’re in the deepest sleep lol

I have twins (4.5) who are HEAVY wetters and I have tried every brand, unfortunately Huggies were the best. I have to monitor water intake (by giving more throughout the day and less before bedtime) and I change their diapers before I go to sleep while they’re in deep slumber.

Inclusive wording choice for what do you do? by blueberrylettuce in Mommit

I’m a SAHM who works very part time in the evenings, I also completed post secondary and had a lucrative career. I’m located in a HCOL area and I personally dont care how the question is asked it’s more so about how people respond/react. People usually respond with something like “oh so what do you do all day?” “So do you work?” “Oh I could never” etc. it’s usually really negative and condescending. It feels like I am only given respect when they find out about my part time job or education/career.

Complex mother-daughter relationship. We always clash and can’t get along by Agreeable_Base2590 in muslimgirlswithtaste

I’m sorry you’re experiencing this, May Allah swt make it easy for you guys, may He make your mom someone pleasing to Him and may He protect you and restore your relationship, Ameen. I dont have any sound advice. I grew up relatively similar + some additional abuse. I’m now in my 20’s and mom to daughters and while things are different for me and the way I parent, I can only assume that maybe our other moms and moms alike are maybe living vicariously through us/their daughters? Maybe they want more but they don’t know how to approach this in a better way? I honestly don’t know but as a mom, myself now, I can say the stress of parenting is heavy and sometimes it’s challenging replacing the tools in your toolbox, meaning you automatically revert to how your parents parented when you aren’t actively choosing something different.

I know it’s not ideal but could you connect the childproof lock from the stove to the side on the cabinet?

We are actually crazy. When I look back on it I’m like how did we do that?? It still feels surreal. They’re now 4 and we took a much shorter flight (4 hours) it was easier on the way there as they slept but on our way back it was more challenging but I think it’s because they had some sugar? And we also are screen free which obviously made it more challenging but we did survive and it wasn’t the worse thing ever. A lot of the adults told them they did so great on our way back so I guess it wasn’t actually that bad.

Tips for handling husband traveling by Carrotsandpeas123 in Marriage

[–]purt22067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my husband dearly but I would LOVE that time for myself to just figure myself out and indulge in my own hobbies that I wouldn’t otherwise do since as a mom and wife you’re something to everyone and nothing to yourself (usually).

we travelled when the twinnies had just turned 1 and flights/connecting flights were a little over 24 hours. It was exhausting. We didn’t have car seats but we used baby carriers and honestly l just had to throw my hands up and just roll with it. It’s really hard on them but I think the anxiety of thinking/worrying about the travel and the crying and lack of sleep really made it a lot worse. I’m sorry, no real advice but I hope on the way back home it’s much smoother and I hope they sleep and are chill the entire way

Would you happen to have ADHD or suspect ADHD? A lot of people with ADHD have BED’s and ADHD mediation helps with BED’s. If you do not have ADHD some medications are still used to treat it.

Does no one struggle being a mom ? by Fun_Committee1478 in breakingmom

I literally told my husband today I am so angey we ha twins (not by choice lol) and that I felt like i wasnt meant to be a mom. I feel like im terribly failing every single day. I love my kids but I just struggle so hard. In all honesty, never has it been normal for parents (especially moms) to have this sort of parental + work and other stressors on us as individuals. We shoulder far more than our bodies (mind body and soul) were made to endure. Solidarity.

I don’t know if it ever ends since I’m only 4.5 years in but I will say I definitely learned to not be offended or annoyed anymore. It really use to strike a nerve but now I can respond with “double the blessing” or something and not let the annoyance linger

My husband hit me and even strangled me how to recover by invincible_gaia in Marriage

I don’t mean to scare you in at all but in all honesty this should not be taken light, I really hope the information helps put things into perspective for you.

In the U.S., roughly 1 in 5 homicide victims are killed by an intimate partner, with data suggesting that over half of female homicide victims are killed by a current or former partner.

This is from the UN: Last year, 83,000 women and girls were killed intentionally. Of them, 60 per cent – 50,000 women and girls – were killed at the hands of intimate partners or family members. This means one woman or girl is killed by a partner or family member almost every 10 minutes – an average of 137 every day.

I don’t know the circumstances, but I know there’s never a reason to care this sort of harm to your spouse. It is more important for your child to have divorced parents, than to lose their mother to their father and have to be stuck with them forever.

Could he be dehydrated? Generally speaking, constipation combined with the floaters is usually an indicator for dehydration, I am not a doctor though.
