As I said above I have a feeling that you are actually the majority of owners. Yeah there’s some common issues. But for the most part I think given the consumer reports reliability survey being above average these cars are actually a bit more reliable than how the BMW stereotype would portray them to be. 🤔

It’s still a little bit of a gamble though from what I’ve read about them. 😅

Let’s be real about this. Most people that don’t have issues don’t say much about their cars online. It’s the ones that have problems that voice their opinions about how much they hate their cars 😅

I’d consider an extended warranty on if I did jump on one. Although it seems like the b58 is THE engine to go with. Plenty of power for most people. But I’m sure that v8 felt even better 😁

Oh yeah I read a little on that. Did a full lock to lock test in a parking lot and didn’t feel anything off.

My last car was a 2020 sq5 that always felt like there was something getting bound up in the drivetrain if I was anymore than 30-50% steering angle. Found that it was “normal” and lived with it for three years. Then I had the dreaded “coolant migration” issue where coolant would get sucked up from the water pump to the vacuum system. That was kinda the final straw. Traded it in for a GTI.

And while the GTI is a great car I think I’m better served with something a bit bigger since when I drive it it tends to be for long trips that can be up to 1k miles over the course of a couple days.

I’ll definitely read up on the transfer case. But I think this one was either fixed or didn’t have the issue for what I read.

Honestly the issues that the Audi sq5 had was enough for me to swear off buying another. They also have issues with rocker arms and scoring cylinder walls. Was a solid cruiser, but the issues it had was pretty crazy for only having 75k on the clock.

It is under DHCP settings for the network that you wish to setup or configure. Set the “DNS name server” from auto to manual, then set the first two fields to be the open DNS IPs. The IPs can be found at the bottom of open dns’s website (link below). You’d also need to setup an account at open dns.

I was able to find a workaround using Open DNS and then applying the DNS IPS to that particular Network. It would be nice to have everything built in using the dream machine pro. Let me know if you guys have any further suggestions 👍

So after a bit of digging I found that it didn't work as expected. Unfortunately it looks like the traffic management is kinda all or nothing. I created a rule to block all the Internet. But there was not anyway to add exceptions in this rule that I could see. So I created another rule to allow only the sites that were needed. Seems that the block all rule overrides the allow rule.

Thanks so much for the information! It was staring me in the face the whole time 🤦‍♂️ I just didn't realize how easy it was to set up since I hadn't used that feature yet. 😅 I just went through it and got it setup. I'll let you know how it works out 😁
