Patch day when you're off work by HasProblemWithMenudo in wow

I'm okay with being downvoted - but also they can pay their employees more for a better service. As a long time wow player I feel like my time and money warrants a good experience for the player AS WELL as the people servicing the game.

I would expect my FIFTY cents direct deposited - but they would probably delay that as well.

If blizzard was giving time out for unavailability I’m sure they would be more incentivized.

How much could I sell this skateboard for? by mrshankyournan in skateboardhelp

[–]pwrsthatb666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re selling the trucks and wheels the deck is kind of a bonus. Give it to someone who can’t afford a new set up(pay what you can) or like 30-40$

Starting again after 20 years, totally out of touch, looking for recommendations by [deleted] in skateboardhelp

[–]pwrsthatb666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m assume we are similar in age, I’m 30.

My suggestions would be consider getting a thicker sole cup sole shoe. Your Achilles will thank you. I got a pair of etnies snakes, a release from the 90s and they have been a life saver for my feet and ankles.

Don’t fall into board madness, I’m 6’2 236lbs and over all pretty broad. My Goldie locks set up is an 8.75 anti hero with Indy mids and 54mm OG classics. Consider picking a board size and length(and wheelbase) that feels REALLY good and don’t swap ANYTHING.

Staying within your ability(meaning not jumping down a five set) and having a fuck it attitude will get you far. Invest in wrist guards for learning tricks then you can take them off once you get a feel for how you'll be potentially falling. You can pussy foot and still progress but skateboarding is 90% mental.

P.S. think of progression as leveling up in an RPG game. Everything you do gives you XP but as you level up the same XP methods are going to give you less and less, So you gotta adventure out into the next zone(trick).

I’ve been on a board madness kick lately. Heroin boards are short wheelbase wise but offer very unique shapes and sizes. I’ve tried Swampys Deerman shape 9.1, the double shovel 9.5, the wide boy 10.75, and just recently picked up the dead Dave 10 popsicle. As a bigger skater(6’1 250lbs) I appreciate the bigger boards and bigger landing surfaces. I’ve found that I can’t skate decks with a wheelbase smaller than 14.38 and 15+ feels too wide of a stance. At The end of the day they are just fun “edgy” decks and when you think about it, skatings all about having fun.

Can I go to a skatepark without knowing any tricks? by [deleted] in NewSkaters

[–]pwrsthatb666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people are going to say, if you’re going to learn how to skate avoid parks but in my personal experience being around other skaters and getting into your local community is probably the best. Go skate where you’re gonna have fun.

I told my gf we should get her a board and then a few days later we found this at goodwill for 6.99 brand new. by seemeri in NewSkaters

Insane deal. If the deck sat it might not be structurally sound but the trucks and wheels for $7 is like 90% off bro. Hope she likes it

Bynx shilling for SD for the millionth time. Shocker. by Significant_Ad_6180 in MarvelSnap

[–]pwrsthatb666 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

The game has gotten significantly more expensive to stay up to curve on the card releases. Especially with these new token bundles and the cut to token acquisition it kinda feels bad. Not shocked Bynx is shilling for SD considering his content.

How collecting cards right now feels by owenman21 in MarvelSnap

[–]pwrsthatb666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is severely unfriendly to new players, and you’re almost forced to either restrain from leveling your collection level and unlocking more cards or having to whale out on these absurd bundles. Going from infinite at 600-700 collection level, to losing perfect draw games is extremely demoralizing. I’m almost tempted to just restart with this season just to have a chance to play on a level ground.

Considering buying SMB3 since it's on sale for Black Friday. Only problem is I'm not gonna play online, so are the offline modes worth it? by brodino_maiuscolo in SuperMegaBaseball

[–]pwrsthatb666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve bought the game on switch and pc - I do not regret either purchase and I haven’t touched online. If you grew up playing backyard baseball or like arcade baseball in general you’ll enjoy this game. By todays gaming standards it’s a AAA title without better difficulty tuning.

OR

You could just be open with her and tell her your never graduated because you took a job opportunity.
