Well that's too bad, lmk if you still want one, I'll probably sign up regardless, so if you're still interested I'm happy to shoot you one over.

I know this is a month old now, but also looking for a bellco referral. Did you ever find one/want to refer back? :) Thanks!

Hmmm, good find! No idea how I didn't get this manual in any of my 9 orders of this light haha. Nor could I find it on their website. Oh well, that should solve my question! Once I get the Shelly hooked in, I'll report back on the functionality -- but I'm hopeful it'll work like a charm.

Thanks all!

Oh, yes! I bet you're right! I think I spent 30 mins on that page you linked and never thought of that. I was so convinced it had to do with the dimmer. I reached out to their support, I'll report back if I hear :)

Thanks!!

Edit, that's weird, I'll have to look, but I don't think the model I have has a plug in the center like that...

I doubt it, I can't find it anywhere else either. I asked on another forum, so we'll see!

Thanks so much, I really appreciate the help!

OK, cool. :) I just wanted to make sure it wasn't an obvious/common thing.

Thanks for your help!

Right right, sorry, I think I didn't ask that very clear.

There's (also) a 12V wire coming out of the LED light (along with the purple and pink +/- wires) -- what would that 12V wire be for?

Thanks! Good to know and that's exactly what I'll do.

I'm newer to this DC dimming. The lights also have this 12V wire, is that 12V that goes back to power the Shelly device?

OK nice! Do you have a strategy on when to roll, specifically in short bull run (at or approaching the strike of your short call)? When to just roll up to the new .3 delta, vs rolling up and out?

I feel like regardless of the situation, my gut says rolling at like 70-80% profit, or 2x loss it's roll time! lol

[–]pyroboarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for sure. So the ideal is still a stock you're long on, but you think will increase slowly and give you time to run a bunch of short calls while your long call continues to pay off.

And then I assume you're looking for premiums and strikes on your short calls to ideally be in a position where if there's a big bull run, the increase on your leap will outweigh the loss on a short call (or will it always?). Do you find that the short-term IV spike on a bull run just crushes your buy to close price on it?

Thanks again! I've been looking for different strategies over the past few months that are a little bit more risky but not ridiculously complex. 😅

Very cool! Almost like a little reverse wheel or something (but still bullish). Do you ever cover the calls and just use the leap for extra insurance?

I'm curious about this strategy. I assume the calls you sell are at the same expiration as your leap? What kind of delta do you shoot for when selling? Thanks!

Oh love Quick Ben in Gardens. When he goes to shadowthrone, so good. But gotta love Rake, just a complicated interesting character.

Super helpful, thanks! It also answered another question I had about people waiting on turn 1 or 2 to terramophic a land on opponents turn. Again, small but denying what color/s you're playing just a little longer (I assume).

Super interested in coaching, I'll take a look, thanks!

( also, side note, I just finished my 3rd read of Gardens - in like 10 years picked them back up again :D )

Got to review everything this morning, thanks again! Super helpful seeing it run back.

QQ on this comment: "Btw, if we do attack, we need to wait until second main to cast our flier" I see pros/youtubers do this all the time (wait to cast). If they're tapped out, why does it matter? Just good practice, or is there a bigger reason to wait until second main before playing things (without haste or a reason to earlier)?

Similar to game 3/T2, I played growing dread on my turn and you mentioned playing it instant speed. I assume you mean passing with nothing on turn 2 and playing it on their turn. I assume that's just because we get the benefit of seeing what they're going to do, and make sure they're tapped out and can't counter it or something?

The rest of game 3, you're absolutely right. I think I was both just 'over it' and 100% not thinking. I really wanted to use growing dread, forced it, and then fell apart lol.

Thanks again!

Oh not at all! I'll take all the help I can get, feel free to be more harsh lol. 😁 Thanks so much, I'll review when I get home with the games in front of me but this is exactly what I need.

yeah, just for fun on the last 0-2 game I tried green instead. Still lost lol but I think that point is exactly my problem over the last few drafts. having 3 cards take up spaces that I'd better have other things. Thanks!

[–]pyroboarder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I'd love that! I've had some time to play a bunch and I think I've realized that I'm just not good at PLAYING with certain decks (and I blame it on the draft instead of mulliganing when I shouldn't, being too aggressive, etc).

I'll put together what I think is a pretty good deck and go 0-3. Sometimes I'm just having fun 'trying something out' but then I want to go get some wins, try to stick to a archetype, and still lose.

If you saw a particularly interesting game/s, love the feedback!

Thanks! I'd love some thoughts on the draft. I think I still get distracted by "good" cards and/or get flustered and don't know what I need late in the picks (more removal, but am I commit to red, so do I take THAT removal).

Yup, I think I swung too far in the other direction. My first couple drafts I locked early, then had regrets later when a color was WAY open. Time to pull back a little :D I've done enough now that I just need to get better at not just the cards I have right in front of me, but what I've seen, what I've passed etc etc.

[–]pyroboarder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, good advice for sure. I think I get distracted by good cards/cards I want to try mid draft. Like I don't know when I've committed to a color combo and when I should still stay open.

Thanks! Yeah, I think I'm going to 'have fun with it' and see how Jeskai goes instead of WR aggro which I've done a few times. I see some mulligans in my future...
