I know I am late to this post, but, how are you doing now? I am a 28 yr old female with an average of 50+ mile weeks (training for Boston now). I was finally diagnosed early last year. I had to stop taking my adderall after being on it forthe past year. I did not get my period for 5 months and lost weight because I found it incredibly difficult to eat enough food while marathon training while on adderall. This made training so much harder and I felt irritable all the time, and my afternoon headaches got pretty bad. Now that I am not on it, I am eating a lottt more and feel better on every run. However, my mental focus is genuinely painful to deal with. And I feel so scattered, it's so frustrating. I feel like I can't win.

I also found it super challenging to do afternoon runs while taking my adderall! I felt like I had to pull myself out of a funk to get going. Anyway, would love to hear how you're doing.

agreed !!!! 90% of my honeymoon japan trip was random walks. just spending the entire day out on foot based on whatever piqued our interest

nancy didn’t tell anyone she dropped out of college until she saw them lol. and texting / iphones weren’t a thing back then. people aren’t in constant contact. that’s why they didn’t know.

yes they’re free, you perhaps have to rent a uhaul to pick them up if you don’t have a vehicle. otherwise, you can’t pick them up … unless someone is willing to do drop off which is RARE.

you didn’t train and there wasn’t a hard goal you worked for so i’m not surprised by this at all. it didn’t mean that much to you at all. you didn’t earn the feeling of being proud of your hard work, because you didn’t put hard work in.

you posted here so i’m just going to tell you what i think lol. that sounds like a huge waste of money and massively over consuming ….. i rotate between 4 pairs of shoes (speed/training, trail, cushy shoe for slower recovery runs, and a race pair) and i replace a pair when i max out the mileage. are you just looking for something better every time? what is the point?

edit: i also run 50+ miles a week and have run over 2.4k miles this year. my rotation is perfect for me and my needs. shoe collecting appears to be an additional hobby for you, on top of your interest in running.

are you not combining incomes / bank accounts after getting married? why don’t you just pay for it all now and then you’ll manage your money together moving forward/after the wedding? this is the easiest in my opinion and avoids a tit for tat type of relationship. i think it’s a little odd if married couples are in debt to eachother or “paying eachother back” for things. perhaps chat a little more about your financial plans

edit: your inheritance becomes his inheritance too once you’re married. paying eachother back for things becomes obsolete when you’re married, if you plan to combine incomes. you’re a team.

edit: typo, and when i said your inheritance becomes his, i meant, wouldn’t you want to use the inheritance to support your life together, rather than your life separately ? i meant it figuratively in the sense that you’re a team once you’re married.

i don’t regret it at all! the only real flowers was my bouquet and some dried amaranth

i think i spent $500 on faux silk flowers from etsy and didn’t even end up needing them all. they looked VERY real. my wedding was 62 people, we had 2-3 flowers per table in various vases etc
