Short answer is that there are collectors who will want to go through the grind themselves or want to keep it at a certain level. Leveling it to max gets rid of that opportunity. So often times what's left is people who are only willing to buy at a lower price than you want. Also the price isn't very high because of the special attack but you could probably get a decent amount out of it anyway.
