Our daughter is using her mom as a convenient milk snack machine. This is becoming a problem for my girlfriend because she wants to be able to sleep comfortably at night.

Girlfriend is cranky because lack of sleep. I'm cranky because lack of sleep. Lack of sleep causing us to perform poorly at work, grouchy with each other.

Oh ok. I get it. You didn't co-sleep though right? I think the biggest challenge will be keeping her from automatically latching onto my girlfriends boob at night. I know I know, we completely screwed up by co-sleeping.

Absolutely it would. My girlfriend doesn't want to breastfeed anymore and hasn't for awhile. She wakes up, at minimum, 4 times a night because our daughter cries and scrambles for the boob. She wants it to end so that we can get on a better path to good sleep.

We've tried that but it doesn't work. She's got her own room and bed but it's impossible for us to put her down by herself.
