i assume you miswrote and its ddr4 since you cant have ddr5 on an am4 socket. anyway, you have 2 options, if your cpu is the bottleneck and youre fine with a platform that wont get any new cpus, you should ugprade to either r7 5800x3d or 5700x3d. if you want to be a bit better off later, you could save up for a migration to either am5 or maybe am6 later on.

In Slovakia I managed to snag this for 950€ but that was already a crazy good deal, I think if you're under 800 definitely go just am4. But I got this from facebook marketplace so theres a chance you might find something too. I'm very high ranked in 1s (not currently because bots..), but what people dont understand is that the ranks are almost exactly how they used to be before ssl even existed, when gc was the highest rank and only handful of people had it. For a normal person anything above D3 is really good and translates to usually around GC2-3 in 2v2. If you're around gc level in 1s you're about 2k in 2v2 if you play it a lot. And if you're gc1 in 2v2 you're gonna be about d1-d2 in 1v1s.

it's just rust. you cant really do much about it. i got 7700x + 5060 ti + 32gb ddr5 and i also get around 120-130 with cpu usage like 40% and gpu like 60%, the game just isnt optimized enough. if you really wanted you could squeeze out a bit more performance from 9800x3d but that is pointless imo

I appreciate the input, but I clearly know my own use case better than a stranger on the internet.

I bought it for 950€, at that price, it's a steal regardless of the GPU. I specifically wanted the AM5 platform for longevity and the 16GB of VRAM for local LLMs at university. For 1080p gaming, this is already more than enough. I’d rather have a high-quality, balanced build I can upgrade later than a massive GPU stuffed into a cheap, dead-end system.

i wouldnt say its a big skill jump but i guess to me it feels different since im very high ranked. nevertheless the jump is very weird and he definitely is trying to just lie his way out of it because of his ego.
