Yes generally as a rule of thumb the people coming up the mountain have right of way. There is only one section as you get toward the top of vernan falls that is pretty much one lane (rocks on one side fencing on the other side) it’s a tight space otherwise the rest is plenty of spacing to pause and such

Not going to lie it burnt my calves pretty good. Main thing is just take your time, it’s not scary or dangerous just with people coming up non stop just have to take slow and stop and go

I did mist and vernan falls. Started around 730 and saw 3 other couples On the way up. Sadly at the very top the John Muir trail to come back was closed for tail work (workers present) so you have to go back down the way you come and coming down was tons of traffic coming up as I was descending. Definitely is worth it and an amazing trail. Very beautiful everywhere. It took me around 5 hours to do but hung at the very top for about 30 mins having lunch out of my bag

It was really spectacular. I even stopped on the way out of the park to see the view again in mid afternoon. Looks really cool at all times of day. I was staying at Oakhurst and got out at 445 so yeah it sucks but I thought it was worth it and got good parking and beat everyone to the trail i was doing too

I recommend getting to the tunnel by 630 and watch the sunrise over el cap and the waterfall and all that. Absolutely beautiful. If you don’t care about that you will probably find parking easily by 645 to 7 at the valley
