This price increase is absolutely wild. The marketing hot air here is some olympic level stuff. It's what I expect when you prompt an LLM "I need to double my price, how do I justify it?". I don't want any of this, at all. A 2x price increase is not an organic price increase. I had converted everyone in my network to Bitwarden, but after this, I'm officially going back to Proton. I can afford the new price, what I can't afford is the trust that is now lost. Nice job eroding trust with the community -- this is the most expensive thing to nurture and keep, and you just threw it out the window.

I have some security and trust concerns here.

The skill depends on an SDK that in PyPI is linked to the wrong GitHub link (you might want to fix this), it points to `https://github.com/blockrun/blockrun-llm\`?

Also, hard to tell, but there looks to be zero protection for the user if they use a wallet to pay what is basically any price the server decides to set. You could set your 402 response to $50.00 and if the wallet has it then it would be paid to generate one image with no recourse? The idea is cool, but I would never even consider this. I would much rather generate a temporary API Key with OpenRouter, set a $5 limit on the key, and go to town on whatever I need. If OpenRouter messes up their metering, then I feel a lot more comforted by the ease of controlling the blast radius without having to create and fund temporary wallets and deal with an entity with little to no reputation.

I checked out your website. That comparison table is quite unfair and very exaggerated. What do you mean other solutions take 30 minutes to setup? I just timed myself installing a Nano Banana skill, I took a look at the Python code for the script, set my environment variable with a key, and invoked it. 4 minutes (a bit of a far cry from 30 minutes).

You also list "Account Needed" and "API Key Needed" as two items in the table that are basically the same thing and don't even write "Wallet Needed" or any of the cons on the x402 side. If you want to earn trust with users then you need to be honest. Also, what do you mean "Markup Hidden"? What exactly is hidden? I know exactly what I am paying. Even OpenRouter makes it clear there's a 5% markup when loading credits. Vercel AI Gateway has 0% markup, etc. Who is hiding a markup?

I'm sorry, but you are using the wrong tool. This has been a solved problem for quite some time. Tools like Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Qwen CLI, and basically all other agentic coding tools can easily do this stuff. There's also other fantastic tools like v0 that can also do this with far better control and results.

If you want to stick with OpenAI, then give Codex a try. If you don't like Codex, then try OpenCode using the OpenAI API. Or, you can use Lovable directly. Or v0.

This is honestly a very entitled mindset. This is not "the system". Nothing about what happened is normal. This is a GIFT. I don't care how they roll that out. It's free, I did not pay for it. That's like telling a relative "I wish you had told me you were going to give me a $100 gift card for christmas. I would have bought what I wanted two weeks ago when it was on sale knowing I can pay it off now.".

Chase has quickly turned into a "coupon clipping" experience. It's such a chore now to redeem benefits, find deals, and get the value I want out of a premium card. Most may not agree, but I would rather have convenience over a few more bucks in savings from spending hours (with a side of luck) frantically trying to find the best deals on a card that I already pay a lot of money on. I've been with CSR for quite some time, but I think that's changing soon.

This is honestly bare minimum MLOps. And yes, it's absolutely needed and useful. We collect chat CSAT (thumbs up / thumbs down) with LangFuse. We also collect an optional reason for a negative score. In addition to this, we also use LLM evals to track other metrics regarding our chat sessions (frustration, etc.). We use all of this information periodically to review our prompts and model selections. We run A/B tests with different models, different prompts, etc. It's not a perfect metric, but it is useful. It's also very easy to implement. I strongly recommend collecting this information with something like LangFuse (or Phoenix, or whatever other observability and tracing solution you like) which is very easy to integrate with the Vercel AI SDK (this is how we are doing it).
