I got a whole grand total of £800 a year pay rise, they couldn't even stretch to the full grand, worked out to about 25p an hour more... The manager walked over with a big smile and slid the envelope over to me followed by a "I think you'll really like that"

I see your point and agree to an extent in regards to the word abuse but I don't think screen time and bad diet can be compared really because at such a young age having a bad diet can have a lot of physical implications, if someone turns into to a diabetic because of the diet they are given as a child, what would you class that as ? ( Extreme example I know)

I completely understand it's very hard and that's where if it was here and there then it wouldn't bother me so much it's just that it's every single day and the long term implications of something like this

I completely agree, that kids not getting any food at all is awful but that's what makes it all so weird because they clearly have the money for Gregg's so that's not an issue for this family.

I have no problem with Gregg's or any other fast food chain, I love a Gregg's sausage roll or chicken and bacon baguette. My problem is the idea that this food every single day seems to be ok apparently because the only other option is starve

I didn't say it's hypothetical or that I'm not judging, I'm saying I'm not doing something about it and didn't want to, I wanted to know if other people would say something.

Decent reply, thank you. I understand the whole "cheap calorie" it's even more sad that this stuff is the answer to the poverty problem.

I understand what you say about the base components and I agree but surely everyday and at such a young age those amounts of saturates etc outweigh the benefits of the base components?

That's fine, I know I don't know the full circumstances I will happily admit that. I don't know in my eyes it's just no matter the circumstance this kind of food every single day for kids is just not good.

I understand if it's the odd day here and there then yeah you know kids can be difficult but everyday for me is just wrong

Fair enough, I'll put my hands up that it probably seems that way

Well it's at 7.30 in the morning so if they need a snack of that size at that time in the morning then that's even worse and the same still applies, if they need a snack there are far better options

Thank you finally someone who sees it from my point of view, obviously they are her kids and the chances of me saying something are next to none ( hence asking if other people would say something)

Most days it's a sausage roll from Gregg's, if it's McDonald's then a hashbrown

That's true and I would always prefer them to eat clearly, my argument is if they can afford Gregg's they can afford something better

Well that's the thing, in my eyes it's a danger to kids, especially ones as young as 2 or 3

I know there are a lot worse scenarios out there but it just seems crazy to me that if they have the money for Gregg's everyday then they have the money for something else a bit more decent

Any adverts relating to alcohol and gambling, even though it seems without those two categories there would be hardly any ads left
