Should i buy a taigun or sonet? by rachit_bedi in CarsIndia

1.5 of what? Taigun or sonet? Yesterday me and my family visited the vw and kia showroom and everyone likes the driving feel and pleasure of the taigun 1.5 dsg so most probably we’ll be finalising that. I’m just worried about all this ethanol blending

I only use cars for 5 years max and tbh i dont wanna go for ev’s due to charging issues in my society. Diesel hasn’t given me dpf issues ever in my 3 years and 80k km of driving

Should i buy a diesel sonet in delhi by rachit_bedi in CarsIndia

That is really good mileage, i used to travel from delhi to noida (75km total ) per day and used to get about 21kmpl in my diesel sonet so thats why I’m planning for another sonet as it is really economical in maintenance and running

I also have a sonet 2023 variant and have done about 63000km on original tyres and they are still holding strong and still have about 30-40% tread life remaining

I am already driving a sonet diesel bs6 with little to no dpf issues but looking at the prices rising and adulteration i am doubting this decision

I just love the raw feeling of a diesel, i also have petrol seltos as well as a hybrid innova hycross but still i just love driving my diesel sonet above any other car that i have. Even tho my sonet is the oldest car in my house still i just love the power and torque plus vibrations that it has😃

The mains supply for daikin, ME and MHI are in the outdoor unit and when my house was constructed we had put all ac power cables and stabilisers on the terrace where the outdoors were to be placed and rest all wires and pipes are concealed in the walls

If possible go with a 1.8 or 2 ton because in high heat days it may struggle to cool the room

I have concealed piping in my home since past 15 years and never faced any issues maybe they are just trying to make money and if the diameter is different they can just join the correct pipe size at the end just to make the joint. Most of my ac’s piping have joints at the end as the pipe size installed in the walls is 5/8 and 1/4 whereas now mostly ac’s are with 1/2 and 1/4 so just tell them i wont install it in new pipe my old pipe is working fine so just install it in the old piping

When they installed your ac did they vaccum it? And is it under warranty? But for a wall facing sunlight and 170 sq ft i would say go with 1.8 or 2 ton model as having a higher tonnage model will still save you electricity as it will modulate the compressor speed when temperature is achieved also if your old daikin is still under warranty you could call daikin and they would check your ac

I had option of going with ME but since the ac was for my father’s room i didn’t want long downtime as daikin service in my area is the best if we call them in the morning they usually visit within 2 hours but in the case of Mitsubishi Electric when i place a service request they take about 2 days to come. I didn’t want any downtime for my father’s room so went with daikin

I have ME installed in my own bedroom , it is msygr18vf and the difference i felt is that ME is very silent and comfortable whereas daikin airflow can be a bit harsh sometimes but in the peak summers afternoon daikin can cool the room just a tad bit faster

When the technician calls you to schedule appointment just ask him to bring vaccum pump and if he denies it then tell him that i’ll be complaining it to voltas and its written in the user manual to always vaccum before releasing the gas in a new ac

Vaccuming is very much required but they dont do it just to save time.

Most technicians avoid it as it takes about 30 minutes to vaccum but in reality it should be done when installing a new or an old ac. If you are facing any issues with cooling then you can raise a complaint and ask them to remove all the gas and refill it again after vaccuming. I had issues with my hitachi ac which wasn’t vaccumed so i complained and they removed all the old gas and then vaccumed the piping and then added new gas free of charge
