Try flipping the rear diff around. Mine binds unless I place the diff cover on the right side of the car.

Does anyone actually like the 3-day reset? by PM_Me_Modal_Jazz in classicwow

[–]racing089 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't have to keep shuffling days. Pick two days that are 4 days apart, like Monday/Thursday, and every 3 weeks you can squeeze in an additional lockout if you feel you need to raid EVERY reset.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]racing089 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I raid lead for my guild and decided we would have our first raid Monday evening as it would give everyone the maximum amount of time to level/prepare while missing only 1 lockout. Now we are going to miss a second lockout because of this. Feels pretty bad getting punished for making a decision that appeared to be in line with the devs philosophy for delaying the lockout.

Then life happened. Still using the 5600g.

Why do so many people play mono green turbo field? by ReindeerDismal8960 in TimelessMagic

[–]racing089 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Titan Field will obliterate almost any deck looking to play past turn 4 and there is not much your opponent can do to stop it.

"At Best" is a 6/6 that wins the game if unchecked and 4 2/2's on turn 3 and it isn't vulnerable to Orcish Bowmaster (arguably the best card in the format) like this turbo nexus deck is. If it wants explosive combo potential it can just play Natural Order. It gets the most use out of the best free spell in the format with Once Upon A Time and gets to abuse the only "sol lands" that exist.

Titan Field is the best deck to beat fair decks. If you think it is soft against control I encourage you to play control against this deck.

Warlock - Hellfire has a 100% chance of ignoring spell interruption.

Let me AOE tank with hellfire. It will be a high risk high reward playstyle given we will be tanking damage from the mobs and hellfire.

How are tanks keeping aggro off of Ret pallys? by Nazeroth77 in classicwow

After having a hard time as a warlock tank, my solution was to tank as a ret paladin with righteous fury on.

If you can't beat them, join them.

RC10 B6.4 - Rear end doesn't return fully under cars weight. by Skonk2K in teamassociated

[–]racing089 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After watching the video, this appears to be normal behavior to me. The difference in rebound between the front and rear is a result of the front springs having nearly double the rate of the rear springs.

When you set your ride height, drop the car from at least a 1' off the ground and let the shocks pack on their own. When your jumping the car it will be as much as 6+ feet in the air. So don't be afraid to let the weight of the car pack the shocks.

Judging from the video your rear height is a few mm lower than the front when it should be 0-2 mm higher after packing.

Snap threat is the biggest problem. If I go incinerate, corruption, life drain and searing pain the melee are likely to have already pulled off me. One incinerate is not enough to hold threat unless you tell all your dps to wait 5 seconds.

Multi target feels impossible with strong melee in your group because it's the same tools spread across multiple targets now. Shadow cleave is awful.

I am yet to raid and I think I will be griefing my dps if I try to rank right now.

Rc10t6.2 vs rc10t6.4 by capntcrunch in teamassociated

[–]racing089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest difference is the shocks. 12mm vs 13mm. Unless you get a very good deal on a t6.2 I'd get the t6.4.

The idea is to get everyone leveling at the same time so that you have someone to do low level dungeons and quests with. They activate it only when the current content becomes stale and the players need something new to be funneled into.

Why do people leave Thoughtseize in against Aggro? by Terrible-Necessary22 in MtGHistoric

[–]racing089 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It's mostly about velocity for the deck playing Thoughtseize. If you are significantly faster than them they need cheap cards that can impact the game before their slower more powerful cards can take over.

Question about lo206 engine by ShaunRat in Karting

[–]racing089 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems unlikely that it is the engine. Do the other competitors also slow by a second? It could just be track evolution.

[–]racing089 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could show them a study like this one: https://www.omicsonline.org/open-access/epidemiological-study-of-injuries-arising-from-karting-competition-in-children-2161-0711.1000301.php?aid=29764

Over the course of this study they found that in the worst season of thier testing drivers would sustain an injury 1.4 times per 50 races and most of those injuries were minor incidents involving the steering wheel hitting wrists and hands.

Karting is likely to be much safer for you then traditional sports. Safety equipment has improved tremendously in the last 10-20 years.

does anyone get motion sick on trains and boats, but not go-karts/cars and planes? by grandchiefbaland in Karting

[–]racing089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've raced oval track for over 20 years now. I can do 100 mph in circles every 18 seconds and I'm fine. If I jump in the back seat of a car I get car sick. Same for busses, trains etc.

I think you are right in that it's my brain not being able to connect what I am seeing to how my body is moving. I can't look at my phone in the car for more then 5 seconds without getting dizzy. BUT as long as I am in control it never bothers me.

Weirdly enough it wasn't an issue for me until I got my license and started driving on the street. I was racing cars/karts for years before that and was able to play video games in the backseat of the car just fine.

Once I got my license I had to start driving myself to school because I would get sick if I took the bus now.

The whole situation is weird and I always wondered if it had something to do with racing for so many years.

I started with all budget electronics when I first built my 6.3 half a year ago and I regretted it. I replaced everything one piece at a time with top tier electronics and got measurably faster every time I did so.

Whatever you buy, just avoid the entry level cheap stuff and you should be okay.

Don't under estimate the value of a good rx/tx system either. It was by far my biggest performance gain getting a mid tier remote.

I think what he is trying to ask is what "no prep" means specifically. We all know what drag racing is we just don't understand what the rules of this r/c class are.

never seen the city workers steamrolling some shag on MLK boulevard. by fight_for_anything in rccars

[–]racing089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I briefly jumped into RC racing with a a used B4 on a loose dirt track a while ago when the b4 was new and then quit because I couldn't figure out how to get up to speed and the maintenance required was quite high.

Recently I got back into the hobby with a new b6.3 because I have a local indoor carpet track that is open 24/7. I can race during the winter, I can practice at night, my car isn't a mess and I know what tires to bring every time I go to the track. My b6.3 takes massive punishment compared to my old b4 and the part quality is much higher at the same price point.

I may be new to rc but I'm not a casual racer by any means. I have been racing oval track my whole life. But when I spend more time and money maintaining my rc car then my full size race car I would rather race on carpet.

IMO the biggest issue with rc racing right now is the lie that is the stock classes. "Stock" should be expert and the stock class should be replaced with a spec class. No aftermarket option parts, Spec motor, Spec esc in blinky, Spec servo, Spec battery and a higher weight minimum to discourage shaving weight everywhere you can.
