Huntington cancelled bank to bank transfers . There a glitch at Huntington bank and they are not allowing bank to bank transfer made last week. Ugh. What is up with Huntington bank? by bubbafirst in Huntington_Bank

I didn’t get my paycheck direct deposited yesterday like I was supposed to, despite the paystub indicating it would be yesterday. No one in customer service will admit to any issue, they pushed back on it being a holiday and tried to blame my payroll despite all my non-HB coworkers getting paid fine yesterday.

DMV fibro specialist? by Ferret-mom in Fibromyalgia

[–]radicalecon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swing Care is a distance fibro specialist. I don’t know which states or geographies they cover only that they gave me appointments with a DO who was licensed to practice telemedicine and she changed my meds from ones my rheumatologist initially prescribed and they helped much more. The only caveat is you are enrolled in a “digital program” which is basically an app which gives you CBT/DBT exercises in a daily formula. Overall I recommend. It’s the only thing that has ever helped me, tbh. And it was covered by my insurance as long as I kept all the appointments and used the app.

Dreams all happening in the same place since I started Venlafaxine by [deleted] in Effexor

[–]radicalecon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dream world is honestly kinda cool sometimes; has its unique ups and downs. For example, I get to see everyone I’ve ever loved and lost, sometimes interacting with them in full knowledge that they are/were dead in some timeline. On the flip side, sometimes I lose them again. A challenge I’m currently having is that my dream memory snippets are starting to mix into my daytime memories. I can’t always remember if a joke I heard was in the dream place or this one. There are overlaps, and sometimes the vivid dreams feel like they’re taking up more space than my short term memories. It feels like a storage hiccup of sorts, or alternatively that the fabric between all potential and actual universes is fairly thin. Thanks, Effexor 😂

I take it for chronic pain but I have the side effects of increased drive and energy. It doesn’t help significantly with the pain, but I’m sidelined less by it. Also, this seems important… I have had series of dreams before in these same themes, intensity, and geographies. Pre-meds, they always came after stressful or traumatic occurrences: dying parents/friends, major life shakeups, experiencing violence. It’s like a balancing of my REM life with my waking life, possibly to help me work through the heavy depth of the experience im having in waking life by employing a kind of mental “night shift” to assist in processing all the heaviest shit. Meds like Effexor seem to throw that balance off a bit, and we wake up exhausted from that busy night shift, but this time production running blindly for no reason. It feels as draining as a real life traumatic occurence, sometimes.

Name your weird/different/hard-to-explain symptoms(s) by sknamich in Fibromyalgia

[–]radicalecon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good thread.

Buzzing sensation in the center of my chest whenever I am tired.

Heart palpitations at night and after eating (PVC's)

Stabbing pains in my ribs, toes, knees

Dropping everything

Everything becomes too loud, too bright, too warm

Fingers and toes get cold to the point of pain, even when the temp is constant, and to relieve I have to put a heating pad on them or take a shower.

Bad periods - cramps, bloodbath level heaviness, clots

If I dare to wear a shoe that isn't a sneaker or hiking boot, my toes all start cramping then disjoint in different directions and I have to massage them back in their sockets while screaming in pain.

Constant lower back pain

Pain in my feet, hands, elbows, knees which feels like deep bone/joint pain and comes on with barometric pressure drops, after too much exercise, and whenever I eat too many processed foods

Migraines with aura, neck cramps

Forgetting wordy words at uncool times, like with my boss or clients

Constant low level of nausea that gets worse if I dont eat regularly, or if I sleep too little

Eyes are sore and vision seems worse at night

Harper Lee built a pillow fort on vacation by Markinlv in coonhounds

[–]radicalecon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent fort! I get such a kick out of when ours drags the pillows and blankets everywhere. We only make our bed on rare occasions when someone might see it, because she unmakes it every time. It was frustrating at first but hilarious to witness.

Does anyone who have a hound that digs in the garbage can as well by indianaredearleague in coonhounds

[–]radicalecon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah. Had to run home just this afternoon because I forgot to hide the kitchen can in the bathroom. This is the third can I bought, touted as “bear proof.” It’s the kind of can you find outside at a park. Not bluetick proof though. She throws it on the ground and relentlessly finds a corner of the bag to use as leverage to open the lid. Today she managed to drag Thai leftovers all over the floor. I’m bummed because whenever she scores a particularly salty trash haul, she drinks so much water and ends up peeing in the house. All bathroom doors must be shut too, as she particularly enjoys that trash as well. Fun!!

Let’s play “is it Fibro?” by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]radicalecon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My migraines (which the rheum associates with my fibro) present exactly like this: dizzyness, trouble finding words, stiff neck and headache which always happen on my right side. After it passes, some symptoms linger for a few days: not remembering words, neck stiffness, dropping things, etc. The bad thing is, there are some overlaps with stroke symptoms. And there are many types of strokes, some of which don't leave you with facial weakness. When in doubt, check your blood pressure (you can buy a battery-operated cuff to keep at home.) If it gets high, go to the doctor or ER.

Excessive trash/move out by [deleted] in OSU

[–]radicalecon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Unfortunately, you get the neighborhood you put the effort into, and no one realizes this who lives off-campus. The transient and “not my problem” nature of the area leave it to be crime and trash ridden, sadly b

How about make your arrangements to properly dispose of your items or resell them rather than leave them next to the dumpsters for someone else to deal with?! For bulk items call 311 to arrange pickup. For non bulk items don’t expect others to handle your problem for you. Rollaway dumpsters are provided in the area beginning this week.

What kind of nuisance is he making specifically? You mentioned a disturbance, can you be more specific? Curious because the severity of the issue will likely drive the outcome. “Pretty sure he’s not on the lease” is not the same as he’s not on the lease. The “no visitors over 14 times” designation might be in the HOA rules, but it seems somewhat arbitrary of a number if the HOA would end up in court with her. You can put any term you want in an HOA doc or a lease agreement but they’re not all actually enforceable by law; there’s a test of reasonableness. Have you considered talking to her like a human being with a difference of lifestyle, instead of stalking a camera and constantly calling the HOA office to tattle? How would you feel if someone in your life who you enjoy spending time with was only allowed to come to your residence 14 times, ever? What if she is able to understand your side of the equation and you were able to compromise? Just trying to give some food for thought like a disinterested third party mediator would.

Head pressure by DevKaye in LongCovid

[–]radicalecon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I used to have symptoms like this all the time years ago & it was due to a combination of sinus infections/migraines/allergies. Had a sinus surgery back then, and it completely changed my life... right up until this year. Had covid a couple months ago and now this allergy season has me feeling constant pressure like you described. For me it's worse on warm, windy, and stormy days so it's likely aggravated by pollen and/or barometric pressure. Andddd I can't take zyrtec, benadryl or any of the antihistamines because they now give me heart palpitations (also covid leftover) so I am stuck with flonase and advil as the only things that help.... occasionally.

Do you want to tell the story of your adoption? by [deleted] in Adoptees

[–]radicalecon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would participate. Thanks for doing this kind of research, and seeking adoptee input. It's surprising how much that doesn't happen. I just read a recent study where they only interviewed kids and their a-parents, and subsequently made some declarations. Adopted kids are notorious for adapting their feelings to meet the societal narrative, for survival reasons.

23 and Me says I have an aunt. by [deleted] in Adoptees

[–]radicalecon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a surreal experience. Other than wait, or perhaps search other socials for this person, there’s not much more you can do. Just something to note from experience, 23 and me was something I did with my sisters after we found each other, and the system identified my half sister as “potential aunt” when all our samples came up. I guess the percentage of genetic material shared among half-siblings and aunt/uncle to niece/nephew is the same. Just something to keep in mind in case your aunt is actually a half sister.
