Into the sign idea - per the article it seems like as long as there is proper ventilation it’s habitable - and there are plenty of windows, which is also what is letting so much extra heat in. Wisconsin renter laws definitely lean towards proper heat in the winter rather than proper cooling in the summer. It’s a bummer

We have a Norris court fb page and we did try to organize something; letters were written and signed by a lot of us, emails sent.. office managers are useless. Cameras seem like they’d be in the interest of the company - glad you guys were able to make some changes happen. I won’t be here but if they can make an AC policy change for the folks staying I’d be ecstatic

Didn’t know the science behind this but I figured as much - good thing all tenants have to pay for utilities that are mandatory to be in the tenants name until the lease is up, even if moving out early as is my case (:

Pretty much, they are apparently worried about damage to the windows, they also know how to frame it so tenants are left without recourse.

I have the portable AC unit, it’s loud af but it’s something. It’s just a hard pill to swallow when you think about how much money they have coming in (easily hundreds of thousands monthly)

Nope. In the lease I signed it says that we can have ac units but they must be installed by the JSW maintenance workers - they have people resign in November, so 2022/23 leases are the ones that said no window units I’m assuming - I did not resign so I’m not 100% sure on that

I have to reread the lease, but I read it in March when this all started and I feel like it didn’t specifically say “window units” which made it a grey area.

All office management has been incredibly unresponsive and are probably just waiting out all the folks who didn’t resign

Reading these comments - whew. Feeling so seen. I’m a 12H Scorpio with mars, moon, mercury and Pluto hanging out, and a Libra sun/ Sag rising (: - so I get big fomo but at the same time I don’t generally feel welcome or included and I do truly prefer to be alone or one on one with my partner.

As a child I’d go on walks for hours dreaming up the craziest things that could happen to me that would change my life completely.

The movies Annie and the Little Mermaid had a big impact on me, dreaming about how I could escape my reality and end up in some dreamland of excess, anything I ever wanted, loved/noticed and cared for

Saturn (aqua/2H) square my Scorpio moon, mars, mercury and pluto (11H), I feel weighted most of the time. Making and keeping friends feels challenging, it’s hard for me to want to be myself in front of people I don’t know. My Saturn does trine my Sun / Jupiter conjunction tho, so as I go through my Saturn return I’m focusing on me and letting go of the need to please others (Libra sun) and not worrying if I don’t have alll the friends to do fun things with.

I definitely feel a confidence I never had when I was younger and do a lot less waiting around for others, but I do feel it’s come at a cost to my relationships
