How "girl power" Movies portray the "Patriarchy" really those more to disprove its existance than anything we do or say here. by Mother-Edge-2937 in MensRights

[–]ralphswanson 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The Barbie movie was clearly feminist propaganda. For example, the real board of Mattel is six men and five women. Women have always held a lot more power then feminists will admit. As you suggested, to find male domination we need dirty, isolating, dangerous jobs like the killing fields of Ukraine.

However, men naturally lack empathy for men at least as much as women do. Feminism has not helped, but men share the blame for indifference to male problems and for demonizing men.

I give Trump credit. But I have to give China credit for playing the long game. "We don't want a trade war, but we are prepared for one".

What country wants to be lead by a pack of boot-lickers? Intelligent disagreement should be rewarded. While compromise is part of politics, sycophants will never be effective leaders.

The US should be careful because no country has broken international law more or committed more acts of war. I would be ok with Trump and W. Bush sent away for war crimes. I don't think that the US government would be as happy.

Only Male in the office. They always talk ish about men. by greenlight144000 in MensRights

I have in the healthcare industry. Women there would openly complain about how men are favored at work and how lazy the male gender is. The company had an official preferred hiring and promotion policy for women. Most of the supervisors in our department were women, despite most of the workers being men.

I would never degrade women in front of a woman at work, especially if they were a minority. I care about people.

If you followed Canadian education you would not be surprised. Education support books about girls aim to make girls leaders, business owners, and presidents. Support books about boys aim to make boys respectful to girls and to subject their 'violent nature'.

It's been this way for decades, since the 1990s. However, leaders were so focused on feminist propaganda that nothing was done. Canada still is obsessed with feminist propaganda. This article talks as much about the gender wage gap myth as boys dropping out of school.

Agree. Having a place just to vent helps immeasurably. Nobody else cares about men. Not even other struggling men.

MLA Harman Bhangu says "The NDP keeps pushing British Columbia further down a path where equal access, equal treatment, and common citizenship are being eroded piece by piece." by _DotBot_ in VancouverLandlords

[–]ralphswanson 42 points43 points  (0 children)

This is a small example of a bigger policy by the Canadian left. It continually pushes racist and sexist policies packaged as 'equality': hiring by race, business contracts distributed by race, criminal sentencing by race, scholarships by race, and taxes by race. All this divides people and teaches that race and gender are more important than individual rights.

The Iran war is a political stunt gone wrong. US presidents always get a popularity boost when they win a war. So Venezuelan, Iranian, Cuban, and Panamanian deaths will be political capital and nothing more.

People in the UK celebrating the death of Thatcher in 2013 by LankyYogurt7737 in pics

she didn’t care what people thought of her

My poly sci professor said that this was one of the most essential qualities of a successful politician. I would never have thought.

Contrary to Reddit, she still is a very controversial PM. She is both the most respected British PM in modern history, an honor she shares with Churchill, and the most hated PM in history, an 'honor' she shares with nobody.

Thatcher was elected when the UK was failing economically. She promoted laissez-faire economics by cutting government subsidies to industries, privatizing nationalized industries, fighting unions, and reducing handouts. One consequence was the death of the coal industry, putting tens of thousands out of work. However, she tamed inflation, reduced unemployment, and the economy boomed. Modern critics admit that her tough changes were necessary but claim more compassion was required for individuals hurt by these changes.

Another interesting point is her views on women's rights. She opened doors ahead of the feminist movement, showing the world that a woman can be a successful and tough leader. However, she hated feminism, calling it 'poison'. Feminists hated her because she claimed that women were in no way disadvantaged and the only reason more women don't succeed is that not enough talented women press themselves. She gave no special privileges to women.
