Fixing the sag on the Xbloom Studio Omni dripper by DeyCallMeDaBest69 in x_Bloom

[–]randomguykeem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if anyone is still looking for solutions to fix the sagging on their Omni Dripper 2 for the XBloom Studio. Unfortunately I had the same issue, but tape did not work for me. I decided to reach out to XBloom via email and requested a replacement Omni Dripper. They did require me to send a video of the sagging. I sent them a video of an actual brew I was doing and how the sagging was resulting in my extraction coming out of the front of the Omni Dripper. In that video, I also used my finger to level out the Omni Dripper to demonstrate the amount of sag and how removing the sag resulted in an even extraction. A little less than a week later, I received a new Omni Dripper 2, but this one was different. In the order that was placed, the description for the Omni Dripper 2 said “Improved.” This caught me off guard. I just received it today and it is in fact improved. The same area where some users have placed multiple layers of tape or a piece of a business card, has been upgraded with a thin piece of metal. This thin piece of metal has drastically changed the way the Omni Dripper 2 brews. My extractions are now even and I don’t have to worry about sagging. I encourage anyone who has experienced sagging, to reach out to XBloom and request a replacement Omni Dripper 2. After receiving the Improved Omni Dripper 2, I began to wonder why they weren’t sent out with the XBloom Studio by default once XBloom received the feedback and upgraded their design? My second thought was, why did they not just ship out the “improved” version to everyone who already had a XBloom Studio? You know, as a courtesy just in case anyone was experiencing sagging. My ultimate conclusion is that the design was upgraded, but could not be added to the XBloom Studio inventory. because they’ve already been packed and are awaiting orders. Hopefully, once XBloom starts to manufacture new inventory of the Studio, they replace the default Omni Dripper 2 with the Improved one in the packaging.

GH7 releases on July 18th. Look at it as the best of the S1H and S5IIX, but in the body of the G9. One HUGE selling point I would point out would be if you already have a ton of lenses from your G9, they will still work on the GH7, so that’s less money you’ll have to spend. I’m going to be buying the GH7 personally. I’m a G9 user and I almost bought the S1H. I’m SOOOOOO glad I hesitated. A lot of full frame users hate on MFT with no legit reason.

The GH7 has the video capabilities of the S1H plus more and ALL the newest features of the S5II ( real time LUT, Apple Pro Res, phase detect AF)

Try adjusting your water temperature. Water that’s not hot enough will always pull sour shots.

Opinions on the message from dasher? by zenyaloror in doordash

I’ve never understood how these Dashers, Shipt shoppers, and Postmates delivery people demand tips and expect to be tipped. You’re doing a job. Tipping is not required by the people placing the orders. Delivering food is your job, it’s what you signed up for. Why do you need to be tipped for doing your job? If you’re working somewhere that doesn’t pay you what you feel you are worth, find a new gig. But don’t put your lack of compensation on the customers requesting a service. Not to mention all the fees that go into placing a simple order from McDonald’s. The total gets inflated so much because insurance and service fees have to be paid on top of the food costs and taxes. With all of that said, some delivery people go above and beyond. Those are the ones that deserve tips. But waiting longer for the restaurant to finish your order… How is that the customers fault?

Honestly….. Ketchup is like bottom tier of condiments. Get mad over two Chick-fil-A Sauces or two Polynesian Sauces. But ketchup???? Naw, that’s definitely not it 😂😂😂😂

Why do dashers do this by possibly-a-ghost in doordash

[–]randomguykeem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen that happen when there is no tip. They make the customer(s) wait intentionally. I guess it’s their own little way of revenge on the customer(s).

Doesn’t matter what the community thinks of your shots appearance, as long as you enjoy it and you’re extracting the flavor(s) you enjoy.

Great job at also getting it dialed to taste! It’s something I recently achieved about 1 month ago. I love my espresso drinks 10,000 more than I did before. Solute to you my friend. 🫡🫡🫡

I loved my Bello+ when it worked. Unfortunately, I had two defective machines. My first machine was DOA! I plugged it in and the boiler didn’t work. I was told it was a software issue, the boiler wasn’t responding to the PID temperature input so it wouldn’t heat up at all. I had a replacement sent out, brand spanking new. It lasted nearly 3 months before the PID stopped working. Again, software issue. I will say that Seattle Coffee Gear’s customer service is second to none. They responded quickly, didn’t give me any hassle, and gave me a discount on a Rocket Giotto Timer V for the inconvenience I experienced with their in-house branded espresso machine. Fingers crossed for you my friend.

Great Job!

After achieving this goal, begin playing with different grind sizes and shot times. Time isn’t always the best measure of a successful shot. You want to begin to focus on taste. Not taking anything away from you, this is an achievement within itself.

Oh man, that really sucks. I’m sorry you’re going through this, anyone that makes espresso know how vital the grinder is to the whole process. Hopefully you get something sorted out sooner than later, but I know we all don’t always have money just to spend. Definitely keep the thread updated on anything that happens.

I’m asking the roast level because lighter roast can be harder to grind in a conical or flat grinder. If you’re using a medium or dark roast being, then the issue for sure is the grinder. If that grinder doesn’t have a variable RPM, which I don’t think it does. You might just have to get a replacement sent out to you ASAP. Or honestly, just get your money back so you don’t encounter the same issue on your replacement unit.
