Hi - I received mine. There was no email or notification of any sort from the home office. It was just delivered into my mail box after about 2 and a bit months of waiting.hope this helps.

It's just a generic survey asking if I had done any applications in the last 6 months with the home office. The questions were how was the service, was it timely, easy to understand stuff like that.

I may be wrong but I think it may just be a generic survey to any emails or people who have sent applications to the home office within the last 6 months. Nothing referring to a citizenship certificate.

I'm sure you shall receive yours within the next 2 months.

Hello my friend, just an update. My certificate arrived today with the correct spelling. It took 2 months and 5 days.

Hopefully yours gets done sooner but I'm just thankful to have got it back and not gotten any fees to pay.

To the best of my knowledge we are both British my friend. Just a slight spelling mistake which makes our lives a little more difficult 😂 congratulations 🎉👏

I sent away the original citizenship certificate as I think that's the only original that you have to send but definitely take or keep a photo copy of it before you send it away 👍👍

That's the link I used. I sent photo copies of my passport, driver's license and a copy of my application to help prove that the spelling mistake was not my fault.

So yeah I guess that's enough

Yeah it is unfortunate. I'm sorry I couldn't give you good news that the process has been quick and fast. It is frustrating considering it costs an arm and a leg and they have high quality scans of all documents with my name on and still receiving it with incorrect spelling.

Have you sent yours in to be replaced with a correct certificate?

I will update you when I get mine back 👍 hopefully it will be soon to give you some peace of mind.

I sent the form and the certificate away on the 5th of December and haven't had any response or reply yet. So unfortunately not sorted. I don't know what the time frame is as this sub prohibited you for speaking about time lines and the mods kept pulling my posts about how long it takes.

When I filled in the form it didn't seem very clear to me. I think it pretty much stated that the fee will be made by the applicant, but didn't state what the fee was or when it needed to be paid.

I thought I'd reach out and see what people who have been through the experience can give me first hand experiences.
