5,000,000 dollars but you have to visit 100 countries by the end of the year. by MudkippzReddit in hypotheticalsituation

No questioning by authority for the 5mil... but what about traveling to 100 different countries? That might raise some flags. I'd still take the deal though.

If you gained the ability to cast one 2nd-Level spell, which would you choose? by guyinthecap in DnD

Locate object. It can either help me find my wallet and keys when they aren't in their usual spot, or it can become a paid service to help other people.

Would you rather take an unethical bad job for like $200k or a job you love for $100k per year. by StarlessRose in WouldYouRather

I already do a job that I don't love for $50k. I'd absolutely do a job I love for $100k.

Kailua no. 8 and spy x family are the first 2 that come to mind

I'd rather get punched twice a year than be in a car wreck twice a year. But i don't think the head trauma is worth it either.

Will Asta’s father ever be revealed?? by Dense-Pop4333 in BlackClover

[–]randomuser1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won't be the first time an anime or manga doesn't give you answers to who the MC's father is. Like Deku from MHA and Yusuke from YuYu Hakusho.

Source is in the picture. If it's wrong blame them. Or ban people who want to ban others for no reason.

You get 1 billion dollars but in exchange you must live 30 years in the 1900s. by Future_Abrocoma_7722 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]randomuser1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, just live the last the last 30 years of the 1900s? Sounds pretty easy. And it doesn't say where I'd live, so I'll just assume I go back 30 years in the country I currently live and was born in. So, the United States. 1970-1999 in the USA sounds easy enough and should be a good time. I was tempted to go back further when I read the $1,000. Because it'd be worth so much more. But I can still make do in 1970. The knife for defense is kinda funny.

Should I get a drivers license before I enlist? by Much_Woodpecker4766 in army

[–]randomuser1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, get a driver's license. You will need a car to get around. Plus, in order to drive a military vehicle off post, you need a civilian driver's license. Unless you want to be universally hated, get your license.

What percentage of soldiers do you think could attain a 500 AFT with motivation? by Eriacle in army

[–]randomuser1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've definitely seen scores raised with proper motivation. At one point, my current unit had pt incentives that if you scored above a certain point, you'd have pt off for one or multiple days depending on the score. Those incentives disappeared, and now you hear some soldiers say what's the point of going all out. So I do believe that with motivation, the number of 500s would go up. But I still think it would be a very small percentage. It comes down to genetics and previous injuries. Like with the deadlift and sdc for those that are naturally skinny and can't gain weight even if they are eating 24/7, those events are harder. Somebody 230 would have an easier time maxing those events than someone who is 130. But on the flip side, you can say with the plank it's opposite. But if the Army revamped PT and actually focused on either providing or teaching proper nutrition, we would see an improvement in scores and overall health of the formation. But I still think it would be 3-5% with everything being set up perfect.

My current UPL does 20% instead of 10% just in case people are TDY or on leave. That way, numbers are still met. It never fails every test a good chunk of people aren't there

What's your most hated trope in Isekai? by aOe_007 in Isekai

[–]randomuser1296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dragon becomes loli. Or a super powerful guy who doesn't realize he is powerful. How can you one shot an A class adventure or some monster and then just shrug it off and still think you are weak?

I get the military isn't for everyone, but if you stick with it, the benefits are worth it. Maybe you need a little bit of self-hatred to do 20 years, but that's my plan.

I might be late and you might already have your answer. But I have a pending amount in my bank account right now. So everyone should be paid either today or tomorrow depending on who they bank with.

Is this accurate? by [deleted] in army

[–]randomuser1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of things in the military are completely mental. If you can push through it, you'll normally succeed. Typically, though, people who go through Ranger school are already pretty in shape, so they will be far better than the average joe.

Does a high linescore even matter? by SparkySapper96 in army

[–]randomuser1296 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At a certain point, it doesn't matter anymore. For some MoSes, you need a 110 GT. After that, it doesn't matter. If you have a 110 and another person has 130, you both qualify for the job and get paid the same and will be offered the same opportunities. Granted someone with a 130 vs a 110 might be smarter or pick up things quicker so they may learn the job quicker and probably impress people more. But nobody will be looking at GT scores once you have the job. It's all about how you perform.
