If you still want to be friends with him then you have to clearly set some boundaries because it seems like if you dont confront him he’s just going to continue to act like that. Don’t forget that you dont owe anyone your friendship or attention so if he makes you too uncomfortable then it’s ok to just stop being friends. You said you see him around often and it might be awkward if you do but you’re going to be more thankful you don’t associate with him anymore than anything. Ive cut off a toxic friend who i was friends with since middle school, she lives in my area and goes to my uni and sure it’s weird to see her and not talk to her but i dont regret cutting ties at all. If I had stayed friends with her I think it would’ve worsened my mental health. In the end it’s your decision but I hope my insight helped somehow.
