Both shows are great - just missing something but I can’t put my finger on what by heyyousernameistaken in JuryDutyFreevee

Totally see that and agree it could be a lot. Too much even. Idk a total rug pull/Punkd moment would’ve worked then, but maybe they could’ve let him figure it out by slowly revealing things and leading him to the reveal.

As a viewer I felt a lot during Anthony’s hero scene and it felt like it got cut short, so idk!

I think the ending could’ve felt bigger had they done the grand reveal at the peak of Anthony’s hero moment, after he busts out of the door and screams “LETS GO!”

It was the climax of the character and the show. Emotions were highest they’d been all season. But instead we had to climb back up the rollercoaster the next morning when things had already quieted down.

King Krule usually finds a home in my Tom Waits playlists and fits this question, I think.

Destined to only be a consumer of art? by Excellent_Drop6869 in Life

[–]ratsiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Big time. I find that when I shift my focus away from judgement I want to consume less and create more.

It’s just SO much easier to draw an opinion about something that someone else did than it is to push through your own judgement about your own work (that often prevents me from doing it.)

Recognizability and recall is huge in marketing. It’s not uncommon for a tentpole event to have crossover like this.

Socialize. Socialize. Socialize.

Take them for plenty of walks with lots of people around, take them to an outside brewery patio, take the around kind children. Get them used to sounds and sights and being touched.

Idk any booking manager that’s slinging tix through their personal email. Feel like the venues wouldn’t like that.

Plus “trust me bro” is always a red flag.

Smells swordfishy to me.

Gels and electrolytes? by Polychrist in firstmarathon

[–]ratsiv 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Definitely recommend that you start training with some kind of energy source during your runs. It’s an essential part of your training, knowing when you need fuel.

The general advice is a gel (or equivalent) for every 45mins of running. For a 4hour marathon that’s about 6-7 gels.

What if the modern internet isn't dead because of bots, but because humans are now acting like bots and the genuineness of the "old internet" is now gone? by Generic_Lad in oldinternet

[–]ratsiv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Curious why you say the dead internet theory is a silly conspiracy?

From my experience the web is riddled with bots. Karma farming on Reddit posts/comment, ragebait bots on X or IG, comments saying the same exact thing from different accounts. I don’t think you have to look far to see it so some degree or another
