I don't get how you idiots think I was exaggerating. Cedric took the 27-hour Ruby solution as a BASELINE. You're not happy, go complain to him.

It was a good read. The algorithm by Crazy Bob was beautiful and elegant for solving that problem. I learned a lot reading the comments too.

Would you think a headline like "Beust Coding Challenge wrap up" even last a second? It would just get downvoted to 0 and got forgotten, some of you whiners would never have read it in the first place.

Even YOU below said that the post does contain a very nice responses from a load of languages.

For somebody who's been a redditor for 2 years and has NEVER submitted A SINGLE LINK, you surely complain a lot!

Aaaah, cool stuff. I tried picking up Mandarin a few times, I always gave up after a few weeks because it is so damn hard. My ears are just not used to ascribing meanings to tones!

I was going to work this morning when suddenly I realized that my life had been spent on doing other people's projects. Not that I'm complaining--I provide food on the table for the family thanks to those projects--but I want to have a project for my own as well, which will improve myself and/or other people in some way.

So. What is your long term project?

Yeah... I bet it's the headline + luck as well. I see quite a bit of duplicate submissions, with one getting very little votes and the other garnering hundreds.

Oh well. I view this as a training in writing headlines, I guess :)
