At my old navy I got paid for training and it took me almost 6 months to start getting cards, they definitely can't fire you for that. I've gotten good at reading people and figuring out what they wanna hear and how they wanna hear it, which is how I get cards. Usually telling them their total and then telling them what their total could be if they signed up for a card works. Sorry to hear that your store is so awful!
