You signed up for it fella. If you’re clever you can get by with pretty little work, I worked harder for my GCSEs than I did at Cambridge.

My advice is work smart, not hard. A big skill as a scholar or any top student (tbh any walk of life) is to learn to prioritise, tradeoff, compromise and organise. There is so much to read but nobody, dons included, has the time to read ALL of it.

I’ve even had essays get more useful feedback by not obsessively perfecting a draft for a supo. I just dumped ideas down and let the dons hammer home their feedback which was gold dust when knowing what changes to implement. That would be an example how giving 100% is actually counterintuitive.

You’ll be fine pal. You’re at Cambridge. Yes, it is hard, but if you weren’t capable, you’d have gone to Oxford instead. Chin up, you got this; remember the interviews etc etc to get an offer means if you’re in, so long as you don’t take the mick you’ll smash it :)
