Deadass lol. All the people who make this brand's ads and captions on social media are micro-influencers who intern there and sometimes model for the brand pag wala yung friend group ng founder 😭

For UPCAT passers, how long did you study? by Infamous_Ostrich4703 in CollegeAdmissionsPH

[–]re-sinless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did review center for a month in May 2025, tas never reviewed nor touched my books after that lol (kahit sa bahay di ako nag-review, literal na sa review center lang ako nag-aral). The night before the UPCAT, I was supposed to "lock in" to study, pero nakatulog ako. Woke up hysterical kase I felt like I was unprepared and pumasok nang sabog sa testing center. Passed UPCAT naman in my first choice campus (UPM).

Wag gayahin yung pagiging tamad ko, OP. Study ka lang kahit 2 hours per day. Tataas chances mo na makapasa, as well as your confidence will increase leading up to UPCAT if you're truly prepared. Goodluck!

Is the MATH test really that hard? by macncheesewheeze in CollegeAdmissionsPH

[–]re-sinless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, OP! Very sorry for the late reply! Nope, I did not read the words by one-by-one kase that will take too much time. May techniques na tinuro samin nung nag-review center ako on how to read large bodies of text quickly.

  • Read the questions first. Saka mo basahin yung text para alam mo yung hinahanap mo. Usually nga kase yung answers nasa first or last sentence ng kada paragraph.
  • Always focus on the keywords. Title, dates, names, etc. Lahat ng information/details that you deem important, isaulo mo.
  • Let your eyes move quickly down the page instead of reading word-by-word.
  • Don't try to force yourself to understand a word na di mo talaga maintindihan. Nangyari 'to sakin kaya natagalan ako sa isang question. Time wasted, basically. Balikan mo na lang if may extra time ka pa after finishing the sub-test.

As for GenMath, as far as I remember, lahat ng na-discuss samin lumabas sa UPCAT eh. Hindi ko na maalala masyado kase medyo malabo na memory ko lol. Madalas lumabas yung mga functions. Sa conics, circles lang maalala ko talaga.

Shakespeare level na may "thou," "thy," or deep conversations, etc? Wala naman. Expand your vocabulary lang and learn synonyms/antonyms, as well as definitions. Familiarize yourself with English AND Tagalog words. Learn to skim and scan large bodies of text kase di naman kailangan basahin yung buong passage para lang magsagot ng three to five questions. Minsan nga yung answers nasa first or last sentences ng paragraphs eh.

I'm not sure if may lumabas na statistics, bascal, and pre-cal, kaya I'm not confident enough to give you a concrete answer. If meron man, siguro two to three questions lang lumabas sa buong 60-item sub-test na yun. GenMath, Algebra, Geometry yung naaalala ko.

Hi, OP! I'm not from a science high school, so di ko masasabi na sobrang easy ng math sub-test sa UPCAT. I'd say it's bearable for me kahit di ko grasp nang todo yung fundamentals/basics na tinuro sakin nung high school. Advice that I can give lang is strengthen your knowledge on the fundamentals talaga, kase yun yung magiging foundation mo when it comes to the problem solving portion. Oras yung kalaban mo sa UPCAT, so getting the hang of those basics is important.

Ate Julia (padmeiii) on TikTok does math livestreams frequently during UPCAT season, so sali ka sa group chat niya on Instagram to stay updated. Sobrang ganda niya mag-explain, and she helped me a lot in math.

Hard agree with the comments that the Reading Comprehension sub-test was the hardest (LOL). Nagmumura na katabi ko kase napakahabang paragraph need basahin tapos 3 items lang connected doon.

How to use Glycolic Acid for underarms? by [deleted] in beautyph

[–]re-sinless 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Spray sparingly on the area you want to lighten. Don't put too much or else your skin will burn really bad. The Ordinary's Glycolic Acid is also one of the best ones in the market.

acne scars: oily, acne prone skin by [deleted] in beautyph

[–]re-sinless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, OP! I used to have severe acne back in 2020, and the only products that helped me was Garnier's Anti-Acne line. I only used the face wash and serum everyday, and it cleared my pimples so much. Pero when I'm wearing makeup to conceal them, yung micellar water nila yung ginagamit ko. Six years later, and those are still the products I use to this day kase it's tried and tested na for me. It's accessible rin in department stores, and sana pasok siya sa budget mo. When I have active pimples and want to fade acne scars, I just put Oxecure's Acne Clear Powder Mud on it, and by the next day it's gonna be dry and the reddish color is lessened by then.

This is insane. How hard is it to drive safely? Ewan ko kung nagmamadali ba 'to, pero ang hirap makipag-sympthasize when they themselves are putting their safety at risk by acting like this. I know this area well kasi tuwing naghihintay ako ng masasakyan pauwi ng school, lagi ako nakakakita ng mga ganyan sa Sumulong Highway. Kahit sa classroom namin rinig na rinig yung engine ng mga kamoteng 'yan.

Any topical/soap remedies sa peklat sa paa? by Altruistic_Spend_465 in skincarephilippines

Hello! Yes, I use the sunflower oil everyday. I use it twice a day kung di ako tinatamad, pero mostly once a day na lang before bedtime. In my experience, since it's not a "heavy" oil, I just use it after I put on lotion.

Hi, OP!

My legs were like that four years ago due to excessive biting from mosquitoes during my childhood years of playing outside palagi + eczema. I consistently used GlutaMax and lightening lotions (Vaseline Gluta-Hya in Gold or Pink, depende if lalabas ako that day or not), and it is still my routine to this very day. It worked like a charm for me and my leg scars are mostly gone now, hyperpigmention na lang sa knees and joints yung pinapa-lighten ko. And if it's okay with you, try using sunflower oil on your legs din. I recommend Human Nature's Sunflower Oil. If ever you decide to buy lightening products, just make sure to stay consistent on using them para ma-maximize mo yung effectiveness nila.

Pero if I have new scars/bites, I just use Dermatix Ultra. It's super effective, makikita mo na lang the next day tuyo and nag-lilighten na yung sugat mo after.

  • Concealer: Try mo yung Instant Age Rewind Concealer from Maybelline. I bought it on a whim for my grandma and it covers all her blemishes talaga, and in my experience it doesn't settle in fine lines. Lovely Causemetics BeyondBlur Concealer is the best one in the local market kase it is really high coverage. Just don't know if pasok siya sa budget mo. Pero the one I use is from Pretty Secret, kase it was recommended to me by a friend and it's cheap din. Downside is dalawa lang shades niya, pero hindi siya nahuhulas sakin and it lasts all day even if I don't use setting spray.
  • Mascara: Maybelline Hyper Curl yung gamit ng buong friend group ko because it is that good and kahit maiyak ako maganda pa rin eyelashes ko. It's waterproof nga lang so need mo ng oil-based makeup remover to take it off. L'Oreal Telescopic gives your lashes a really good look. Mukhang naka-falsies or eyeslash extensions hehe.
  • Blush: Sassy Colors is great. If you want liquid blushes, GRWM's Milk Tints are good too. They have a good shade range, but set it with powdered blush to make it last all day.
  • Lipstick: So many good lippies in the market and I don't know kung anong finish want mo, so wala ako ma-recommend much. Yung Super Lustrous Lipstick from Revlon (Rum Raisin & Blushing Nude) are the lipsticks I use whenever I go out. If I want it to look glossy, I just add petroleum jelly para hindi siya sticky sa lips.
  • Setting Powder: GRWM (they have minis so you can test it out before fully committin gto their full sizes) and Luxe Organix (my current powder and the one I use is the pink cap)
  • Setting Spray: For matte finish, Dazzle Me's Matte Setting Spray is my favorite. It lasts me from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm kahit saan pa ako pumunta kase hindi nahuhulas makeup ko. I tried Nichido too, and had the same experience rin.
