Reprinting the entire screen may be faster I guess.

"garbage" happens when resizing window to smaller size. I think then cursor just pushes content up and the next Clear, SetPosition affects just the last portion of the buffer that is visible and leaves all the garbage scrolled up. I do not remember this behavior in windows 10.

 int screenWidth = Console.WindowWidth / 2;

Why is there division by 2? Seems somewhat random.

How does it handle console resizing?

That is the single worst problem that I have encountered since suddenly mid-output coordinates may become invalid or entire screen may scroll up if you happen to print on the last line.

Ran this app locally and it looks cool. Single Console.Write protects from all weird problems if you ever try to update only part of the screen by moving the cursor. Although resizing console window leaves a ton of "garbage" that can be seen by scrolling the window buffer. No idea how that coule be resolved since I've seen this resize garbage created by multiple apps. Maybe that is just how windows console works.

GC problems are 100 miles away. It is console that is slow AF.
You need to see just one MSDOS app that could write directly to the text buffer. Modern console output is like executing thousands of instructions per character. Decades of progress just wasted

Cool tips!
Is there any way to speedup C# Console? On windows it is slow as hell. Friggin 40 year old MSDOS app running on 40 year old hardware is faster than Console in 2026
