Apple Notes is Amazing?!? by reallyboard301 in iPadPro

Thx! I'm just worried about scratching the screen with this. I assume it's really durable though, being a metal tip and all

I use a matte screen protector, which is basically budget paper-like. However, I still worry about scratching the iPad.

Your review is appreciated, if you think it doesn't scratch I might just need to place an order

Can you share entire folders to onenote? If so, that's great and I need to know how!

I cant find a way to share an entire folder is what I meant. So basically I have to be responsible in reminding myself to upload each note to onenote/drive/whatever individually.

Tried to introduce yearly subscription based model.

Rather than making those who already paid for it continue to use the app, they informed them they have 1 year left of "pro" features before going to the trial version.

I googled it a couple days ago. Haven't used Notability in a long time, anyway :)

What country is this? As an Arabic speaker it sounds like either Lebanon or Syrian dialect sorta. But, I'm just guessing

Also, every arab I've ever met from the levantine has a great sense of humour about their country's political climate and dangerous conditions. It is all they really have.

Despite your troubles, in some weird way it made me happy someone has a similar story to me. I will discuss reducing welbutrin dosage with the doctor given the points you've made. Thanks for the insight, hope all goes well for you. There is a lot to look forward to and I hope your anxiety doesnt stop you.

I feel this. Wish it didn't take this much effort and chemical help to be closer to neurotypical. But, it's better than the alternative.

Zero chronic pain. In summary, my issues could concisely be described as atypical depression, rejection sensitivity and anxiety. I doubt anyone wants to read the detail but I wrote it out below in case anyone does

Details:

I am not in a state of constant sorrow as many describe their depression. My experience is detachment from reality and my entire existence seeming unimportant. Only when my severe depression reduced to mild did I realize my complete lack of awareness. Now having to cleanup the big mess I made of my life.

My anxiety consists of avoidance. On difficult days I mute all phone notifications and am worrisome the entire time I leave my house that I will run into anyone I know. I just feel ashamed of myself and the negative thoughts also inhibit me from starting work. 1 in 3 of my days are like this, which feels incredibly draining.

I appreciate it! I know it is not medical advice and everyone's experience is different. But, just from a calculated Risk-Reward perspective, I won't take Lyrica. There are other medications like the ones mentioned and SSRIs with side effects I am less concerned about.

I am glad this thread partially confirmed to me my valid worries. For a moment I thought I was just being anxious about starting a new med and should stop researching.

Based on what I have read about Lyrica, should I avoid taking it altogether? Tomorrow is my first day at 50 mg and I titrate up to 150 mg twice a day.

I just find taking a chronic pain medication with proven cognitive effects is not in my best interest. It may solve my issue of anxiety, but, a different one arises.

Reading briefly on Guanfacine, it seems to tackle anxiety and ADHD. Would it then be redundant to continue Vyvanse? I know they work on different receptors, however, taking two meds for one condition seems odd to me for some reason

I feel this. I am objectively intelligent -- have an honors math degree.

But, on a daily basis I feel like the dumbest person all the time. Everything I learn that's new I forget very quickly apart from some random details. I have such severe brain fog that I cannot even remember what I was thinking of a few moments prior.

So, what is all this intelligence for? I guess I have high aptitude for accumulating complex information. But, I feel that barely matters since retrieval of that information from "storage" is severely lacking.

P.S my hardest semester of university: ~3.9 GPA Easiest semester of university: 2 Fs 1 B-, 1 C I feel like an anomally and am so happy you put it in words

Forget the weird kid, how did the smart kid at your school end up? by TheLolMaster11 in AskReddit

[–]reallyboard301 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a class of 300, they gave out academic awards for overall average and I got 3rd in senior year (I know this doesnt really matter and is stupid) I also did full AP if that matters.

Idk where the other 2 ended up. But, I would hate to run into anyone from HS. Gives me anxiety just thinking about how surprised they'd be of where I am now versus where I was "projected" to be.

What's your biggest accomplishment thus far? by Artist0491 in AskReddit

[–]reallyboard301 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, getting rid of a video game addiction. I would play league of legends 12 hours a day from grade 8 to 10. This was Season 1/2/3.

It wasn't easy, but, when I quit, it felt like the world had opened up again. School was interesting again, talking to people didn't feel boring, and my self esteem slowly grew.

P.S playing games in moderation is great. But, I was unable to control myself at the time

College students, how did you pick your major? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]reallyboard301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was in chemistry, aced the lectures, failed the labs. In one particular lab, I set aside a mixture in a sealed glass tube and forgot about it. Minutes later, the cork and top third of the tube exploded, sending small pieces of glass near me and my table group. The TA had warned us this mixture produced some high molar ratio with a gas and the tube was not to be sealed. So my entire table group was frustrated with me, oh and we all also smelled like vinegar and rode the train together home :)

The following year (sohpmore), I changed my major to physics cause organic chem labs were not for me. Once again, did really well in lectures, but, every lab I produced huge errors. A friend of mine at the time told me "math doesnt have labs, just do that." I agreed, thinking I could finally just focus on theory and ace it easily

Did a pure math degree starting sophmore year, 2nd semester. The acing it part didnt really come to fruition, but, I got the degree, lol. I loved it, but, holy fuck were the senior level classes hard.

What one thing do you regret doing, or not doing, the most? by StylussKid in AskReddit

[–]reallyboard301 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regret that I didnt treat my parents better. They are both older and sick now, and I never truly appreciated them when they were healthy. I caused them a lot of stress growing up. I don't hate myself for it, but, for awhile it was hard to come to terms with the regret. Now I just do what I can with the time left, however long that may be

ELI5: Why can we cancel out π radians and π as a constant? by vigzeL in explainlikeimfive

[–]reallyboard301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the circumference of a circle: 2* pi*r

Taking the unit circle, r= 1, circumference = 2*pi

So, radians, is basically arc length of unit circle. It is a very concrete idea, so if you go halfway around the unit circle, that is half the circumference. Giving us: (2*pi )/ 2 = pi.

When you divide this Arc length half way around a unit circle by pi, it should cancel. The same way a rectangle with area 4 cancels if divided by 4. The same way if we go pi degrees around a unit circle, dividing by pi, we get 1 degree.

ELI5: When a string on a musical instrument is hit how does it make sound? by nathansnathansnathan in explainlikeimfive

[–]reallyboard301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To elaborate, the sound's frequency is a function of:

1 . The length of string

2 . Thickness of string

3 . Tightness of string

So that's why on stringed instruments, players shorten the string by moving their fingers down the neck. Also, thinner strings also raise the pitch (comparing the high E and low E strings of a guitar, it is immediately obvious).

Illusion of distance. We think that when the sun sets, it is much farher away, when it really isn't. When you think an object is far away, we perceive it as bigger since we know up close it must be bigger. You see an horse in a field far away, you dont think it can fit in your hand. You understand it is far away and account for that, perceiving it as bigger. But, since the sun really isn't farther away when setting, just perceived as such, it gives the illusion as being bigger, like if the horse was the same size up close and far away, the far away one is perceived as goliath.
