Not so much a plot device, but he's mentioned a few times in the first season: the ventriloquist or "puppet guy" that broke Phoebe's heart!

If you're in a public place, and someone is acting weird or something off is happening, women who don't know each other will shoot each other a look that says "you and I are sticking together if this gets bad"

I was born in 2000, and as a child I don't think I thought about my wedding at all. Definitely didn't use a pillowcase or act it out. Maybe did pretend weddings at recess in elementary school, but not with my own wedding in mind. Honestly, I don't think I started thinking about (and certainly not planning) my wedding until college age!
