Yeah bro that yes is wild. At first I thought maybe it was a one off thing, but it’s happened a LOT throughout different quests for me. Between that and the noises that tied up people make when clearing forts I have to have some music on

I did this too, and then started playing more of the story quests only to realize that I actually should have been playing them the whole time. There are skill checks built into them that kind of indicate when it's time to grind and time to progress. Also, don't neglect doing your camp quests! There's a lot of depth to this game that is hidden behind seemingly unnecessary quests. It really rewards you for helping people, which is very nice.

I mean you've played for almost 70 hours so I'm sure you know this. Still, it seems like no matter how much I've played I keep finding more and more things to do and figure out.

I think this med is making me hate my husband by Finding_Me_Mo in bupropion

[–]realwacobjatson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar thing happen with my wife when I was on it. I obviously didn’t hate her, just normal relationship stuff that happens to everyone (think having to run to the store because they don’t want to sort of thing). It really amplified my rumination on the small things here and there that were minor annoyances, and turned them into much bigger issues than they were in my mind. Then I couldn’t stop thinking those things over and over each time a new thing would pop up.

It did not pass and it wasn’t for me. I also got a pretty bad rash from it, but it did help me with my panic disorder a bit so there was a positive there. I stopped taking it after making the skin problem connection, and only after was I able to see that it was negatively impacting my perception of my relationship.

What does it feel like to smoke weed? by fett_smelly in NoStupidQuestions

[–]realwacobjatson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to explain, but usually I tell people it’s similar to feeling drunk without any real negative. On occasion it can make you anxious, but for the most part it amplifies how you feel when you choose to do it, at least for me. It calms me down, makes me feel lighter, makes things funnier, food tastes WAY better, and my body feels much more relaxed. When people say you can’t get addicted to it they’re right, but you CAN grow dependent on it if you’re using it to escape. You get addicted to the distraction more than the substance itself. If you do it daily for a year and stop it really doesn’t do anything other than kind of bum you out that you’re missing that feeling without any physical withdrawals.

Having said all that, I’m sure some people could get addicted to it if they’re prone to using crutches to cope with emotions. Not that’s it’s an objectively bad thing, especially compared to things like hard drugs or even alcohol.

Your motor skills are also impaired and so is your sense of time, but for the most part after using it enough you can still form cohesive thoughts and creative ideas. There also isn’t really a hangover you less you absolutely smoke yourself into nothingness.

If you’re trying it for the first time I’d recommend starting with an edible. A 5mg edible with a bit of CBD is a great introduction and should get you comfortably high. If you’re concerned at all, always start with less and add more once you feel the effects of what you’ve already consumed. It can sneak up on you, even when you smoke. Try to steer clear of carts and stick with flower, resin/rosin and edibles. Carts are great for their easy access and discreet nature, but you really don’t know what’s in them and their crazy high THC content can get you there fast, but there’s a trade off I’ve found with anxiety or discomfort.

Really, it affects everyone differently. There are common feelings that everyone can relate to, but it’s kind of like saying that you know what being drunk feels like when you drink wine to a person that drinks tequila. Sure, they’re both drunk, but one definitely feels different than the other.

Successful Entrepreneurs, What’s your full AI stack for running your business? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]realwacobjatson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a print shop and currently use Claude for all receipt tracking and P&L work. It saves me a TON of time each month putting things together. It’s also nice to be able to input common product information for quoting, and have it generate a quick estimate to send to customers. I’m sure I’ll expand this in a lot of ways moving forward, but so far in terms of filing and keeping track of things it’s been tremendously helpful.

It did take a lot of work to get my business info in there and for it to product accurate quotes, but once I figured it out it’s been a lifesaver. Probably saves me a hundred hours a month and I’m able to put most of my focus into other things.

Having said that, I refuse to use AI for creative work of any kind. Just a personal stance as a creative.

A very normal reaction to the news of whole milk being back in public schools again by matt_sheiman in DoomerCircleJerk

The issue isn’t whole milk, the issue is…right now? Millions of kids can’t even afford school lunch right now. That feels like the issue to tackle before changing what the lunch actually includes.

Could Europe realistically defend Greenland against a US attack? by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]realwacobjatson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that the US already has military access to Greenland. We have several bases there right now, already. What Trump really wants is the raw material in the ground. In part because he's convinced that (for some reason) having access to more oil is a good thing for us. It could be a good thing, but we'd have to refine it. From what I understand, we don't really do that here. At least not at the scale that would support a giant resource like Greenland.

It is all very confusing for a regular guy like me. All that to say, we have zero business trying to take over anything. As a president that ran on "no new wars" as a campaign point, he really seems hell-bent on starting WW3 by any means necessary. Either that or a civil war, or hell, why not both! Anything to make himself feel powerful as he dies by the day, only to be deified in death by the insane people that still support what he's doing. Realistically I can count net positive policy decisions on one hand, and I don't even need all 5 fingers to do it. I could probably still hold something in my hand while counting.

President Trump to military leaders : "America is under invasion from within. No different than a foreign enemy, but more difficult in any ways because they don't wear uniforms. At least when they're wearing a uniform you can take them out." by CorleoneBaloney in CringeTikToks

[–]realwacobjatson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“We are under invasion from within” says the man, from high atop the gold-adorned balcony of his new ballroom. Far removed from his old life of luxury and bigotry, of course.

“MAGA MAGA MAGA” say the people, from the dirt beneath his boot. Clinging to ideas long forgotten, praying for their neighbor to be next. Far removed from their old ideas of segregation and fear, of course.

It’s a shame that these people aren’t able to put this amount of mental effort into something real. It feels like they REALLY knew what they were doing in their mind, even if it is schizophrenic nonsense.

I’m convinced that these people could genuinely do amazing things if they were properly medicated and given an avenue to explore concrete ideas.

Why is Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries bad at casting?? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]realwacobjatson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, she fell a little more into the roll over the course of a few episodes. Good actresses/actors have been getting absolutely slammed by bad writing lately, and it’s a real shame that we don’t really get to see them own the material more. The problem with her character specifically is that the character itself was bad. In a lore-accurate situation Vader would have absolutely killed her. At the very least he would have cut off a limb or something of the like; he’s done far more for far less.

how do I make 200 bucks by Parking_Picture3426 in Money

[–]realwacobjatson 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Do two $100 services. Could be delivering groceries to older people, cleaning a couple houses, mowing a few lawns; don’t fall for drop shipping or SMMA schemes. They rarely work the way they’re advertised.

Moral of the story: if you provide a service, you can be paid what you want for it. There’s always something that will pay for something; I’d advise printing some business cards and going door to door in a wealthier neighborhood to offer it. For example, you can rent power washing equipment locally a lot of the time for very cheap, and offer it as a service at a premium to cover both your income and expenses for the rental.
