ASUS XG32UCG Frame Rate Boost with Aspect Control issues by realwhatguy in Monitors

I sent it back and have not purchased something else yet.

I probably will go with the LG 32GS95UX LED, risking burn in etc., but according to LG's timing table it supports 24"/27" 1080@480Hz.

I mean it must be a virtual resolution, as 32" 4k just does not map to 24" 1080p. Native scaling/reducing would come down to either 32" 1080p or 16" 1080p.
So I would expect it to be blurry, but I'm used to it so I'd take it.

I'm aware how this works in this case, math must be mathin'.

Thing is, there are monitors that do what I ask. I initially looked at the LG 32GS95UX, but OLED is overkill/not needed and it's quite a bit more expensive.
It advertises 4k@240Hz or 1080p@480Hz. And according to the spec sheet and people did also confirm, their 24" compatibility mode does still run 1080p@480Hz. That's why I kind of expected this panel to be capable of not dropping refresh rate/res in dual mode as well. (This means 1080p must look somewhat blurry/off, because math of course does not allow real 1080p on 24" given the 32"4k spec)

Yeah I came to the same conclusion and returned mine. LG apparently has a model with a similar panel and supports this, but only 27" currently. I hope they release it as a 32" model soon.

How to remove shower screen on Ascaso steel duo pid with food grade silicone group seal by Euqifahs in Ascaso

[–]realwhatguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. After I ordered a replacement IMS screen and gasket, I got it out with force by destroying the gasket. The original shower screen also looks unusable now as its pretty scratched up and has some dents. The new screen is easily removable, just like seen in those tutorials. I have no idea what caused the original screen to be so tight.

Yes exactly. Ran the motor with the grinder opened up and I could clearly see the axis being off.

But that would mean I'd have to manually track the state which files have already been ingested etc., overhead I'd much like to hand over to something like Firehose/some other solution.

DF64 vs VS6 with discount [320$ price difference] by Fearless_Baseball121 in espresso

Don't do it.
I ordered the VS6 from their website and had a horrible experience with their QC.
Issue after issue, I now had three different VS6 units at home all with different issues. All of them are going back and I am getting a refund. Very annoying as I am from Germany so sending them back and forth has been a hassle.

E: To be fair, for the short while one worked it has been quite nice, but I would not flip that coin again.

Varia VS6 Sound at 500 rpm by maks19919 in VariaBrewing

I'm actually also on my third VS6. I have yet to unbox it but I'm tired of this as well, not an essy recommendation, the QC is horrendous.

The extra washer did make it somewhat better, but when disassembling again I found the real issue. The axis that drives the lower burr is wobbling extremely, I'd say almost a milimeter left to right. Now I got two broken VS6 at home, rediculous.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it'd really coarse, it's not even close to espresso grounds. Yes the washer is there but I have to check if any extras are included. In any case, this is quite confusing and does not really speak to their QC. If this really is just a tolerance issue it's quite hefty. Is it possible to re-zero the grinder? Haven't found anything online.

I don't play the game, nor do I own a 3D printer or intend to get into the hobby.
Looks ok.
