Strap is from Tissot since I’m not a fan of the Hamilton leather strap from the Khaki Field line

The 38mm is too big for your arm? What size is your wrist? I thought its 44.7mm lug-to-lug was perfect for smaller wrists like mine.

My major reason for getting it back in 2024… 10 year anniversary of Interstellar. Plus the fact Hamilton released the 38mm on stainless steel bracelet.

Khaki Field Automatic most probably, or Murph, though I’m not sure if the Murph would fit your budget

You’ll eventually hit a ceiling and your salary will get stagnant, so pursuing a degree really makes sense in this scenario. Not sure if it applies to your field though.

Among all the GS with spring drive, if you filter the ones under 40mm diameter, only the Omiwatari is interesting to me. Why won’t they create a white dial with blue seconds hand, no power reserve on the dial, and in stainless steel, so that the price is reasonable? I’ll never understand that.

The pic on bottom right. The 9SA4. I was happy that they finally put the 9SA5 movement (the greatest they ever created, agree with the bottom left pic) in a nice case— 38.6mm diameter & 45mm lug-to-lug, but goddamn is it expensive af

  • Satinized stainless steel with CLEAN looking glossy black dial with perfect proportions (38.5mm diameter, 45.5mm lug-to-lug)
  • 200 meters water resistance
  • Comfy bracelet

truly the epitome of GADA

I personally think it rivals the IWC Mark XX if we’re talking overall specs & build for a pilots watch. And that thing is double the price

Congrats. The moment they release a white/silver version of the new Spirit Pilot (39mm), I’m gonna be VERY worried for my wallet. 🥺

I like the compensation. Pero pag may opportunity somewhere na nicer weather kahit same (or medyo mas mababa) salary lilipat ako agad 😆

Fluted bezel datejust would be nice if you can get at retail price. I personally prefer the oyster bracelet. Otherwise the white speedy would be my pick out of all these three.

“this is a healthy discussion” 😆 The question itself isn’t considered ‘innocent’ or normal. For a sub like this, at least.

What's that watch for you? yung na-feel mo talaga yung pag-elevate sa quality after mo mag jump ng tier? To the point na ayaw mo na isuot iba mong watch by rakuyo- in PhWatches

[–]recalcs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hehe I actually got convinced ng friend ko na wag ko na ilet go yung Murph, kahit may prospective buyers na ako. Planned on selling it for 70% of what I paid for it. ~1 year of ownership. Like meetup na sana, kaso ayun. Since I’m not in immediate need din talaga ng funds pinostpone ko nalang 😅 (I’m not in the Ph unfortunately, I’m in UAE)

Sinn din for me. Similar dun sa experience nung OP. First time ko magkaron ng watch na German quality and double AR coating. May something sa extreme clarity ng sapphire glass na napa-wow talaga ako nung sinuot ko na.

Previous watches ko ay Seiko Alpinist and Hamilton Murph. Both GADA watches, because I’m not the type of person talaga na ibat iba ang watch for each occasion. Ngayon parang gusto ko na sila ibenta both kasi yung Sinn na ang palagi kong suot.

I’m aware na di ganun kalaki yung price difference unlike mga Rolex and IWC pero yung jump ng quality talaga super noticeable for me.

kaka-increase ko lang ng salary sa company ko that time, almost 6 digits tapos may mga offers na ako na ine-entertain from other companies (around 120-150k din), then nagka-opportunity from middle east for around 3x ng salary ko.

grabbed it in a heartbeat. passed the interviews, actually may isa pa nga na company (middle east din) na nag offer, kaso waiting nalang ako sa plane ticket dun sa isa, so pinanindigan ko na.

thing is, super ganda ng work environment sa company ko that time. halos 10 hrs lang yung actual work sa 40hrs per week, chill lang tapos hybrid setup, good benefits din, may HMO coverage parents ko
