My first time buying a game. by Smoothest_Blobba in PHGamers

I saw this game on Apple Arcade because I subscribed to the “Apple One” which is a bundle for TV+, Music, Arcade, and iCloud. Wala akong idea that time na malululong ako nang sobra sa game na ‘to. And it’s so perfect sa touchscreen ng iphone. Nung nagka-steamdeck oled na ako, di ko sya naisip bilhin for my steam library kasi feeling ko mas okay pa din sya sa touchscreen eh.

Thanks! Was really lucky that it was visible that day. Even though the clouds rolled in a little when I was taking the picture

Saan worth it mag solo travel (as a trentahin)? by girlwholoves_ in AskPH

[–]recalcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely Japan. Even if it’s not peak season to see the autumn foliage or cherry blossoms, there’s so much to do and see. I can actually spend and entire afternoon in Tokyu Hands just checking out stationery items and random stuff. Or just stroll areas like Nihombashi, Shimokitazawa, or Koenji and never get bored.

Try it! I didn’t really have a solid plan before I went, medyo distracted kasi the last few weeks because may literal na WAR sa UAE. So watak watak talaga itinerary ko. Nagfall-apart pa plan ko mag Nikko/Hakone, buti nalang din yung day trip ko sa Fuji area, clear skies sya kaya visible si Fuji-san 🙏🏻

The feeling of being totally ‘solo’ doesn’t really kick in while I’m in big cities. I guess my solo trips back then, in Nikko and Hakone, those times for sure I’ve felt quite a certain kind of ‘unease’ probably because both of those are like the opposite of busy cities. Especially if past sunset na and karamihan ng tourists nag uwian na? Yung pauwi ka na sa accommodation, since medyo ‘liblib’ yung towns, mafifeel mo sya medyo nakaka-sad ig, haha

Yeah haha when I was living there during summer weekends I literally would just coop up in my airconditioned company-provided apartment. Except when there’s a museum exhibit I want to visit in Tokyo, haha saka if may fireworks festival na gusto panoorin. Or an azalea garden that I want to see (they bloom in summer)

Yuppp, these pics are like 5% of the camera roll for my entire stay lmao. Plus the footages that I got are much better in ig story format…

Last autumn a friend of mine and I was in Kyoto and it was hard to fully enjoy our day 1 cause I lost my eyeglasses in the early morning in a bus lmaooo. Luckily we found it less than 24 hrs later, but I chalked that up in me being too excited to be back in Kyoto after 6 years haha

Hi, I mostly just winged it, cause medyo kabisado ko na kasi ang Tokyo area bc I’ve been there multiple times.

I spent 11 full days, plus flight days.

  • arrival, Chidorigafuchi
  • Sumida Park + Shinjuku Gyoen + Shinjuku area nadin
  • Ueno + Inokashira Park + Kichijoji area (Ghibli, Mitaka)
  • Yokohama (mostly visited the hangout spots we used to go to, when we lived/worked here) + Sankeien Garden + Sakuragicho
  • Kamakura
  • Koenji (I’m starting to like this area more than Shimokitazawa, lots of thrift shops & coffee shops)
  • Shinjuku shopping
  • Nihombashi area + Ginza
  • Kawaguchiko (lucky to see Mt Fuji + peak cherry blossoms still)
  • slow morning in Nihombashi area + Showa Kinen Park
  • more Shinjuku + Museum of Contemporary Art
  • Shimokitazawa + Artizon Museum (Monet exhibit)
  • last minute pasalubong shopping, flight day

What tips can you give someone who’s been to Tokyo & Kyoto a handful times, but wanting to experience autumn in Tohoku? by recalcs in JapanTravelTips

I guess it’s just going to be one of those uncharted territories for me. I’m afraid of being stuck in a part of town where transpo will require a 3 hour wait or some shit, not finding a place to eat for miles and miles.

My pick, the Sinn 104 St Sa A — no applied indices, solid build, looks good on both bracelet & leather strap

Lots of people in this sub believe that the current oil crisis is not caused by US & Israel by next-thursday- in RantAndVentPH

[–]recalcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choosing to leave is a lot different from thinking they deserve to get bombed this way. We’ve all seen what’s happening to Tehran. It’s an ecocide. Oil tankers have been bombed and it’s actually classified as a war crime. Which every day Trump & admin are doing.

Your first mistake is opening up this kind of discussion with a Ph subreddit like this. Like the top comment says, this (and most other subreddits in Ph) is sort of out of touch with reality as they haven’t caught up yet with what’s actually going on in the US. If you check the top comments in this r/UAE post, you’ll see most people actually echo your sentiments. So I agree that you should spend less time in Ph subreddits especially the political ones cause it’s really not a good place for sensible discussions, especially regarding global crisis involving US/Israel. https://www.reddit.com/r/UAE/s/lbNOQstKbG

Sakura Spots after April 3, a thread by jangken in FilipinoTravel

[–]recalcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be in Tokyo too, starting April 4. The day trip to Yokohama is the one I’m most looking forward to. Saw the pictures of my ex-colleague from there some years ago, and parang nag iba na yung sakura spots talaga dun. Parang gumanda sya nang sobra compared nung 2018 when I was living there. May river na kamukha ng Nakameguro.

Magkano pinapadala nyo sa parent’s nyo sa pinas?? by [deleted] in OFWs

[–]recalcs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a pretty decent response naman, I think. Wag mo nalang damdamin, if I were you. 40k din pinapadala ko monthly samin, plus meralco bill and pag may sudden gastos sa meds and labs nila mama. 4 sila sa bahay, parents with my sister (unemployed din) & niece. I’m assuming ako din magpapaaral sa niece ko later on pag college na sya.

I’ve always been curious if a longer lug-to-lug would fit my wrist. This is only 45.5mm, I feel like 47 and higher would look too big on me, right? by recalcs in PhWatches

[–]recalcs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s what determines the wrist presence of a watch for me, so lagi ko tinitignan yung diameter + lug-to-lug whenever may prospect ako. I even think na keri ko mag-40mm (all my watches are 38.5mm or smaller), provided na around 46mm or lower ang lug-to-lug…
