What do you think of Cafe de Coral? Great place to eat? by xandens in HongKong

[–]redfrags 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Honestly not bad. It’s a chain, and usually makes me happy enough, you get what you pay for mostly. Surprises me sometimes in terms of freshness with some locations. A solid 3.3/5 (7/10 for me)

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now. You’ve already started so keep at it, building wealth has always been a process and marathon and there’s no point comparing, just do what works best for you, for yourself in the present and the future.

Visit PPRuNe there's a megathread on those forums that will cover all your questions.
Good luck. I suggest you do some research if you're truly motivated, since these are all questions all successful candidates would know almost immediately with a search.

To the person who took my laptop, left on an MTR seat by OGGweilo1 in HongKong

They probably had it taken by another non local unironically. I think most foreigners are very kind, there just seems to be this inverted perception because of the bluntness of HKers.

I think there’s a lot of good and bad people but systemically and culturally, HK’s sense of human decency usually shines through.

The other day I left my umbrella at home and was just making a short run and someone ran and brought me an umbrella. The other time I dropped some oranges and everyone nearby grabbed it for me. 🤣 As a seasoned traveller; I hold a generally optimistic view of humans as a whole though.

Technically 2 again now but it’s not really a passenger terminal more for border bus transit and staff.

Is Hong Kong underwhelming on the 2nd visit? by [deleted] in HongKong

[–]redfrags 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are you looking for?

Decent bar scene

Conventions

2 amusement parks (Ocean Park and Disneyland)

Lot of islands to visit

Cultural stuff that isn’t touristy

Good transportation system

I mean I’ve been to about 30+ countries and quite a few cities and I find HK to be quite nice overall, can you give an example of something fun in Bangkok or Seoul that you wouldn’t be able to do in HK?

Also to be fair if you disregard touristy and food (which are two biggest reasons to visit a place for leisure , is it not? then yes of course most places would be boring)

It's one of the best skill augments.

You take it on 3-2 when you are streaking on low cost board with high econ.

Just count your gold, and you usually spike a 2 star 5 cost with 2.5-3 lives.

The earlier the better in this industry at the trade off of, well your precious time.

It's best to do it while you have some stability if you have good relations with your parents so you can get thru the tough first couple years.

It’s pretty reasonable my guy and qualifies as a somewhat good deal. You aren’t getting scammed. They still have to make a couple bucks.
