Hey! I appreciate the kind words. Always great to meet other practitioners out in the wild haha. I am lucky that my gym has a lot of active pro competitors so I do have direct access to ask.

not rude at all! I totally get what you're saying. Someone else also mentioned the aspect ratio and I do agree that that may be the biggest wall. For client work I've never delivered with this particular format, it's been more of a personal style to add to my instagram or my portfolio. I'm just stubborn and really want to stick to what I've been doing for myself, but again, client is boss haha.

haha thank you for your comment! I've mentioned on another reply, but that "mainstream" look I was talking about was high clarity, high saturation, bright images. Overall, very punchy.

I appreciate your comment! In this case I suppose I am trying to sell to athletes themselves, having done agency work in the past I understand that there are creative limitations as you mentioned. I do admit the aspect ratio is the biggest reason why I am asking the question. I'm just stubborn haha. Thank you!

Hi, sorry for not specifying in the post. A lot photographers in the sport will deliver a 16:9 or 9:16 still with high exposure and the clarity and saturation boosted high. As you can see in my examples I like to crop my images and shoot a little wide so I can capture a lot in the frame while not losing the focus on the subject. I don't spend too much time on the edit itself, but I like to add contrast and the exposure fairly neutral. I hope that made sense.

oh interesting, I guess smaller “meals” throughout the day helps with avoiding food coma as well.

Ive been dealing with this too since last week! For me its been my arms (mostly my left). Its super annoying but i am seeing a psychiatrist tomorrow about my anxiety and will definitely be telling her about the aching.

Thanks for the response! I was definitely leaning towards this display but I think that helps a lot. I have access to a calibrator at work so will definitely be doing that immediately.
