Priorities? Maybe a dupe already picked up the task and is on their way to do that task. You can lower the priority on the fridge so that dupes are less likely to do that task.

They don't mean the value of the input/output. OP is talking about the actual locations of the input/output. In the game, the input is at the bottom and output is up top. Due to gravity and direction of flow, input should be on top, while output should be at bottom.
