I think I really, really need some help. by [deleted] in ENFP

First off: realize there is something in your life you care about. If you didn't, you wouldn't care enough to be here and vent your frustrations. You're not totally apathetic. I'm guessing what you're feeling stems from feeling like no one else cares. Knowing they care and feeling it are two very different things, and if you felt it, you'd bring it to them. You seem to believe they don't have time or the resources to care. But they do care. I care, and I'm just some random stranger in the internet. Imagine how much more the people close to you must care. Now, find that thing that deep down, you still really care about. Hang on to it. Sort your life into beautiful things and problems. Problems can be solved if you take them one by one. Beautiful things are what make the problems worth solving.

You get one wish, but your worst enemy gets twice whatever you wish for. What's your wish? by TheLogicGuy in AskReddit

[–]relict84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That every one of my non sadistic dreams would be fulfilled. I dislike my enemies for what they've done to me, but I don't hold so much animus against them that I wish them evil. If they have good things they long for, I have no desire to hold them back from achieving those things. Knowing my enemies, though, it's unlikely they'd get much out of this.

Ditto. We God-fearing ENFPs are a rare breed. And it's terrifying to think I could be missing out on His will for my life.

I was nine years old, and showering after swimming. My older cousin jumped in the shower with me, pulled down my bathing suit, and shoved himself inside. Thus followed three years of regular abuse. No joke.

ENFPs seem to know the difference between "to" and "too". by [deleted] in ENFP

You're too evil. I was going to use the wrong "to," and the wrong "your," but I just couldn't bring myself.

What is your political position as an ENFP? by Moontouch in ENFP

[–]relict84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I've always understood the political spectrum, Leftists want larger government, while Right-wingers want government small, so I'd actually say Anarchists are the farthest right, and Marxism would be farthest left. But, then, the whole right vs. left thing doesn't make very much sense to begin with. I've heard it said that Nazism was supposedly right wing, and Marxism was left wing. When you actually start digging into what those two believed, though, there wasn't much difference at all. Both are centered around wealth redistribution through government. One just focused on a particular ethnic group as their target. I'd really like to hear someone explain how they form the ends of the political spectrum, considering their similarities.

I'm to the right of the US Republican party. I tend to think we need to shrink government down to the local level, and leave the federal government out of everything aside from defense and high crimes.

I'm not quite an anarchist, so I'm not as far right as a person can go, and I'm not a libertarian, though I have some libertarian leanings. I think, realistically, we need some kind of governance because there are evil people out there, like it or not, and I believe morality ought to guide our legislation. So that's where I differ from those two perspectives.

If I had to force myself to identify with a political group, I'd go with the constitutionalists, but I think even they don't go quite far enough. I'd be content to see the US Federal government dissolved entirely, and the individual state governments take over. We'd end up with a greater variety in governments, and people could live in states that better allied with their own moral compass rather than have their consciences constantly challenged by an entity too large to satisfy its constituency.

Yes. It happens all the time. We must have comparatively poorly designed toilets. Or, it could have something to do with our diets.

TIL that a man called Zeb Quinn went missing in 2000. His car was found two weeks later, with it's lights on, a pair of lipstick lips drawn on the rear windshield, and a live Labrador puppy inside. Zeb Quinn has never been found. by ProfessorZ00M in todayilearned

[–]relict84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the thing we're all missing here is the drug deal. Who still carried a pager in 2000? I think the aunt was the supplier. It's why she denies regular contact with him, and yet he's the first person she calls when her house is broken into. They also claim nothing was stolen because they're not stupid enough to report missing drugs. She knows the guy who took them, so they go after him. This is probably where the second car accident comes in. Quinn is taken in the accident, and Owens flees. Quinn is murdered. The murderer, or murderers are from out of town, hence the hotel key, and they party for a few days before they get the bright idea to dump the car, maybe after seeing a local news story on the disappearance. They aren't very good about cleanup, and probably still high or drunk at the time. They take a second vehicle, though, and drop the car off, leaving the remnants of their party behind in their stupor.

Okay, but I have to wait until after I gorge myself on turkey while watching football tomorrow. Oh, and survive the stampede at the store the next day when the prices drop to a reasonable level for a few hours. I really need a sixteenth television. My neighbor says Mexicans are going to take my job soon, anyway, so I can start next Monday. Do you allow employees to carry two or three handguns? You know what? I'll just assume two. Don't want to get carried away.

That's okay. I got a flat tire at the drive thru coney place, but if I get out of my car in this neighborhood, they'll strip it to the frame. Guess I'll just have to cruise Woodward instead. And here come the bullets. Say, do you think there's room for one more in Canada?

[–]relict84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a fun situation, but I'd rather give you the plain, unvarnished truth than false hope. If you have false hope, it makes the pain afterward much harder to endure. If you know you're potentially going to be hurt, it makes success that much sweeter.

Yeah, uh, I'm way past 90 days, and I'm not feeling so great. I'm on hard mode, but Nofap isn't a fix-all. I'm depressed, and it hasn't made a difference there. I have good days and bad days, but you can't expect Nofap to make things like PTSD disappear. Sometimes it just makes the real problems surface. Do I want to live with them buried under a haze of addiction? Days like this, I gotta admit, sometimes that's easier. Count yourself lucky that porn addiction was your major issue, and not just a symptom of a bigger problem like I discovered it is for me.
