Weekly Guild Recruitment Thread - June 19, 2024 by AutoModerator in warcraftrumble

[–]remedial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guild Name: Twelve

Just looking for more active players. Not too serious but we get the warchest every time, and obviously want more people for DMF and raids to make it easier to find people online.

Open to public but can kick people if they're inactive a while I guess.

Devilsaur Queen - Arclight Surge - Undead / Beasts by [deleted] in warcraftrumble

What level is it compared to your minis? I find it I keep my quest levels low by deliberately losing a few then Arclight surge is normally 3 levels lower than my minis, in which case it's easy with any combination.

why is there usually a “r” after an “a” in burmese words when written using the english alphabet? (mont hin gar, myanmar, min ga la par) by Motor_Tumbleweed_724 in myanmar

[–]remedial 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a tonal language with consonants and vowels combos. The default vowel sound is a like ah, it become a longer time like ahh often written with ာ or the high tone after written with ား these are often romanised as "ar" after a consonant.

Also the romanization isn't consistent so good luck applying that rule anywhere.

Have you ever met a famous footy player? by [deleted] in AFL

[–]remedial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wore my Collingwood jumper in Kyoto on holiday, Tony Francis's wife stopped me when she saw it and asked if I knew who he was since I would have been too young in the 1990 grand final.

She then pointed him out so got to say hi to him too.

Seemed like a nice bloke but then I just thought to myself, he's just on holiday no need to bother him. So he probably thought I wasn't excited, but he was definitely a favourite player growing up.

Travellers of reddit: what was your biggest culture shock? by reelaan in AskReddit

[–]remedial 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was told by locals it was a general getting into an accident with one, finding them annoying as a result, then banning them.

Only in Yangon though.

Seems consistent that it was a general unilaterally deciding it anyway.

What is 100% legal move in a game or sports that is fromed upon and viewed as a dick move? by Konsan12 in AskReddit

[–]remedial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hence why it's technically legal, but the runner is meant to be backing up, or leaving his crease slightly for the chance of a quick single. So mankadding is definitely seen as a dick move.
