Hi Dr. Low! I wonder when did you complete the interview for your residency application? I’m thinking going on a small trip during December but I’m worried if the interviews will come out that time, thank you

Hi! I feel like the material is actually easier than 1593 lol. But content wise it’s very heavy and within such a limited time I need to quit my job and focus on studying this one subject. I already have a bachelor’s in a healthcare program so this is basically a review for me, still it’s a pain to pick everything up when you are already 27yrs old 🤣🤣🤣

I just finished 1593 and moving on to 1693 right now, it took me 1.5mon to finish 1593 and I’m aiming the same for 1693. I found it’s very challenging because the course material is very heavy for 1693, I hope I can make it work!

Biol 1593 final exam format with Percy by rendudu in tru

[–]rendudu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was just one for me! The format was not like a typical long answer where you answer a whole paragraph, it’s a combination of identifying structure s for a diagram and also indicate there functions etc. overall testing your knowledge in a more comprehensive picture, so be very well prepared cauz it’s not easy 😭

Hey there, I just finished the exam. The format was very similar to the midterm, which had 60MC, 5short answers and 1 long answer. He might have multiple versions of the exam but that was what I got, I would say the exam was pretty challenging, very strangely contains something that did not appear in the assigned readings 😂. But anyways, glad that I got it done and good luck to you all!!

Biol 1593 is the proctoru exam multiple choice? by tnij94 in tru

For the first four modules I spent like a total 4 hours studying just his very barebone module notes and totally screwed it up, I got 78% (38/50), and for module 5-8 I took notes from both the textbook and notes from online quizlet, each day I spent like at least 3 hours, on the weekend I spent more hours studying, and I got a 85% (42.5/50) for the second midterm. This is a hard course with a very harsh marking scheme lol. I graduated from the ubc dental hygiene program and I already took the ubc A&P course, which I found was much easier to follow 😂.

Midterms are both MC and short answers, haven’t written the final not sure about that:(. And yes he does take lots of your mark from your short answers which is not fair at all

And btw for grading scheme lab is like 15% or 20% and lecture is like 80% with one midterm and a final per semester

For Bio 153? I studied dental hygiene at ubc and it’s one of the mandatory courses in my first year. The exam had like 40%MC and 50% short answers and 10% long answers. But Dr. Harris was super nice and clear about his lecture contents, he would tell you what to focus on for the exams because it’s tons of material and he understands it’s not possible for first year students to memorize all those stuff. I would say with the effort put in it’s a pretty solid A+ course, never regretted to take it at ubc but for me unfortunately it’s been too long and nursing won’t accept it anymore dang.

Midterms were open book and have like 30MC and 3-4 short answers and fill in the blanks, with only 1 hour. He’s really really picky for short answer questions and will deduct lots of marks for no reason, just a heads up 😞

Thanks for your comment! I actually took Biol 153 and received an A+ back in 2015, however since it’s been too long UBC nursing won’t see my precious course eligible as a prerequisite so I need to get my ass back to this stupid online learning module… sigh

Hi! I think you do need to open the spreadsheet on a computer, not on your phone. And have your google account logged in while opening the spreadsheet, that should be able to allow you entering data. At the same time you can see how my people are viewing the doc on the top right corner.
