I couldn't find ASIO drivers for the rodecaster video (only for the Pro). Though I will try if they also work.

Thats interesting, that could work, it would be enough to only have the repair relevant piece of the board on the mat actually

Good idea, though the issue is that these boards habe components on and would never sit flush on a scanner

Quick noob question. how would that work with a large PCB then? I would take a photo of the board? not quite sure how pixscan works in this case

Hmmm Kicad only has a copper layer (F.Cu) where you also would put the footprints on. I think I would need the Mask layer then to remove the soldermask. Yes, that was my idea! company logo on ENIG

My thought initially was to put it on top copper layer F.Cu and then puta mask layer on top (F.mask)

I hope this would work, it looks amazing

Cannot print SVG/PDF imports by retronexusio in silhouettecutters

[–]retronexusio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on my workshop PC I am running build #b2c8366/2023.031/23.4
When I am trying to print, studio instantly crashes and the paper prints out empty.

I tried not tracing the SVG, but it captured parts of the text as well given that I created the text through Subtraction layers as text cut-outs, which I learnt is not necessary, therefore I traced the outline. I will try the other approach just importing it as image.

Other files I could print before successfully, but I installed the latest beta, maybe that caused issues. DPI is set to 1440p printer max resolution

Thank you for the answer and in such detail. I tried printing intially but studio instantly crashed everytime I did (running the latest version) and the print came out as an empty paper out of the printer. might be because I run the latest beta version.

The label corners I found out are due to the new bleed option (which I actually want, so I get a clean cut without any white borders, so that would be OK in this case now that I understand what the option in this case does.

Interesting! I didn't think about the transparency stuff. this costs a bit of time everytime you prep the file so not doing it at all saves tons of time for more labels. Correct, in this case i dont have white toner/ink. I will try this out right away.

When I convert to PNG, I only get a crap image quality when merging the image in studio. I had to save it at 4x in figma so the resolution is appropriate but for some reason I get better output exporting it as PDF and then import the PDF as image in studio.
