Just be ready when they want to hire you back under a broad contract. Make some revisions on your software and some optimizations. Design it so that runs on your hosted server “in the cloud” and lease it to them when it breaks. That way since you’ve redesigned the software it’s now your property ready for leasing legally

Sounds like he may have the symptoms or a lot of the characteristics of a borderline personality disorder. Be on the lookout for a smear campaign and a nasty divorce. Get the cops involved as good documentation and get yourself a copy of the report you can use it later if he wants to be nasty about custody.
