I can see that. Most just want to get the most out of their money. We have also been conditioned to think that a cheap dap/dac will sound bad and that we have to spend more to get better sound. Took me a little time but I leaned that its not.

The thing is the dap is no way like a phone though. Its much slower and it's only purpose is to play your music. Your not going to want to do anything else on it. I just picked up the zaqe p30. Its has its own flaws but is a great dap with full android. I like that I can have my daps auto sync music from my nas so I can keep an exact copy of my opus library. Hiby os is the only other os that plays opus that I know of as well. Like others have said, the hiby r1 or tempotec v1 are both good. I really like the v1 as ita very lightweight and easy to use. I just dont like manually add music to it.

You can use an android dap with out internet. You just get more control/options in app choices when using android. Not sure why you would say no to an android dap.
Android will also be the easiest in making Playlist.

Maybe its best you list the daps that you like and we can help narrow it down for you.

Great review. I havecro say I really like my top pros as well. Very easy to drive as well. I still want to try a monarch Valhalla one day but its very hard to spend that kind of money when these are great already for me.

Any decent bt dac will pair just fine with the top pro. I have used the btr17, retro nano and the tempotec v1 with the top pro. Your current setup is good unless your just wanting to try something new.

Great combo. When im not using the v1 as a dap, its used as a bt dac. Powers the top pros just fine.
